I thought i'd start this.
Whilst i know it could create more lag, what about a button, like setting relations, that would allow you to report a specific ID to admins? With the ability to give reasons for the report? It wouldn't work for multi's, though it could, but more for violations of naming protocol in the game?

Ideas, suggestions? Hate it? Love it?

Well.. if the game staff is operating with incident tickets, then maybe it wouldn't be such a problem to have it.
Maybe just a link, opening your e-mail program with a standard report format? Or just a "send Standard PM to Game Staff" option?

Of course it all would require extensive countermeasures against spamming.. perhaps a penalty, which is refunded if you were correct?

Only curious, but wouldn't think discourage people from trying to keep the game not only clean, but also stops people from saying anything, couldn't this be counter productive in the long term?

Imagine all the noobies getting hit and massed, they see a report function, they don't really know what's right and what's wrong in the game so they report it.

Or people just spam it. Yes I read somewhere mention of penalty for abuse... what about setting up multi accounts to abuse it?

People would have a field day. I think this has actually been suggested before as well.

In theory it's a good idea, but in practice it's a big no no.

Fair enough, i can see the abuse. Just wanna be able to deal with the multi's myself too

I was actually thinking of (moreso suggesting of) getting rid of the "For Admin" section and replacing it with a bugtracker system. Link it with the forum DB and we have a way of assigning priorities and in different categories. Would be much more efficient, IMO.

Well I have to say this is most definitely not the case.

How can the section be "just fine"?

Its a section devoted to Admin Jason, and he never pays on seconds attention to it. Bugs go one unchecked for weeks, months, even years. People get banned by the autoscript and sometimes it takes weekes to get back ingame, and then often dont get the regulation PPT and their accounts get wipped clean for doing nothing wrong. (Things may have changed in the last week or two since I been gone).

How many GREAT ideas have been hashed out by the player base, and never seen by admin? Heck we have a 7 month old topic admin himself had Dadigi start that he STILL has not given a moments notice too.

SS, not a stabb at you, just voicing my frustration about this section and its uselessness.

As for the original Idea, I think its a great idea, and if implimented properly would work. If you assign a cost to a frivalous claim it wont happen much. But sadly that means someone will actually have to do alittle work, and have some commitment and responsibility, and thats not going to happen. Their have been multiple reports on bad MS names that have never been acted on in over a year, so I doubt admin will agree to something he will have to check weekly, if not daily.

Yes. It was a thread about 'bad' MS names in which it was mentioned that maybe it would be a good idea to inform admin directly about such things.. but because of the possibility/likelihood of abuse..see this thread anyway.
The other thread was dumped because of spam.. Though I can't figure out why it was dumped entirely.
