Use game experience in a CV/resume?
For example; If you were applying for a job such as a lawyer or something and had been the ombudsman on this forum for a year, would you put that in your CV arguing what qualities that brings to the position.
Or if you were applying for a managerial position and had lead an alliance of 200 people for a couple of years would you include that to show you had leadership skills?
I wouldnt do this at the moment but i think in like 10 years time or so people might start to do this.
What are your thoughts?
Would you ever...?

Re: Would you ever...?
Being a moderator or an admin on forums as large as these would definitely be an asset as a leadership skill... whether or not a potential employer would take it seriously is a completely different story

Re: Would you ever...?
if the job had a forum, possibly???? hahas
I would argue that dealing with people in person is a bit different to over the internet
But i guess you do gain some qualities leading alliances and all, as universe said.. where it is applicable/relevant

Course you can. Log in, in front of your would-be employer.
He would.. if you'd actually have worked for him.. not on a volunteer-basis. Like Mark.Man Called Jim wrote:rofl yeah, put him down as a reference haha. if he cant be bothered to fix his own game can he really be bothered to give a reference?

Re: Would you ever...?
It's been recommended to me, and I've considered it. Playing an organisational role, even in an online community, is still a form of experience and leadership.
I dunno, though, because I never included it. Possibly because of the kind of jobs I apply to aren't the kind where I imagine the 'quirky' factor would appeal. Law firms, etcetera. Perhaps if it becomes more prevalent, I might consider it.
