All jokes aside the rules of compromise apply if one side is more powerful that the other it will never work besides personality differences. If you make her life happy, stand by and are loyal, if a girl doesnt want you then truely she will be lost..

Happiness is difficult enough to attain, this is one thing women I believe they know more than guys ever will, that why women in the end chose a nice guy or someone who stands by em heals the wounds and listens to em, makes them laugh and always is a gentleman to them...

While rules apply to some guys, but a great guy women avoid conflict because they always fear the great one that got away..

I think that nowadays (generally observed in "Western Countries"), both "males rules" and "female rules" aren't really respected by the "other side" anymore, and are just a leftover of an antagonism of superiority towards "the other", in the desire of dominating said "other". Differences from last centuries where "males rules" dominated the social relations, -given machism and mysoginism implentations-, and were able to force their rules to women.
Presently, given the negative nature of rules from both sides, along with progress made in social habits and respect between two sides (a.k.a the paradigm of "equality" between both), those rules (males' included, excepted in archaic and mysogino-machist places/social groups) are less likely to be followed. Eventually, a mutual compromised set of "rules" will be made to incarnate society changes and social interactions evolutions.

That is my opinion on the matter..
