For newcomers to ask questions to the other users... this section will usually answer most questions... requesting resources (naq/UUs/ATs) is not to be done here...

They do have purposes...
They do not need to be deleted, never deleted unless something is a problem. They are not a problem and do have 1 or two advantages.

What is all this hate? Those poor breakdancing spiders...

one who can afford Breakdancers isnt poor hence they are well fed with constant stream of materials :-D

Chronus

untrained mercs do have one good purpose

Although you lose 600 naquadah per merc, you can tie up 900 naquadah per merc when you go to sell them and no one can take them from you, so 1000 untrained mercs can give you 1000000 naquadah when you need it.

Most of us figured that out a while ago. But the conversion rate isn't worth the effort, unless you're pretty desperate.

I used to stock over ten thousand, just for off-hand use. But now It really isn't worth it.

I've also used them to frighten my enemies, by making my army size appear to be sickeningly huge.

So, do they work for raid like the last time you guys had it?

i.e. Are Untrained mercs taken in raids?

No, only normal UU's are taken, not mercs, even untrained mercs. At least i'm 99% sure i read that when the raid info was 1st discussed...
