Re: 2010 World Cup

Paraguay surely weren't easy team to beat, that was expectable given they only conceded a goal before this match.
But Spain having the players they have, and with Villa as the scorer, it was rather obvious Spain would win, but with a little score.
Temp account.

well, obvious :-"

wouldn`t say that Jim, major population thought that Brazil or Argentina would be the winners of the matches, unfortunately they were not.

Every match is different and Spain was also lucky today, I mean Cardozo should of scored and Santa Cruz, well that was a clear scoring chance at the end of the match, could of been different, who knows what could happen in the extra time if it was to be 1:1 in full time

I am *not* major population. ;)
I predicted Spain & Netherlands would go thru before it happens, and also said that given Paul the octopuss "said" Germany would win, they would indeed! (and they did!)

Edit: lol Mueller already scored after 3min!

In 2006 France beat them in quarters, seeing Netherlands team I think they can kick them again out of quarters.

Re: 2010 World Cup

:-D
Well, I made some mistakes as well in this world cup, but those two matches I was expecting it and was proven right. As for German's victory, I didn't have a real clue and just listened to what a now famous octopus predicted (which happend to be, again, right).

--anyone who just happen to read this post and wonders what the heck I'm talking about, just search for "Paul the octopus" in google or yahoo, and you shall find out who I talk about.

Re: 2010 World Cup

I don't know, he will probably tell his semifinal prediction very soon for Germany-Spain.

I realize it might be crazy to wait for an octopus prediction about a world cup semifinal, but so far 100% right on 5 matches of Germany.

Re: 2010 World Cup

Think there's a chance that they put something in the German's oyster that makes the Octopus always choose it? Every time I've seen that octopus make a prediction it chooses Germany. :-" :-k :-$

Gyan missed the penalty, such unbelievable thing considering he succeded 2 penalties in earlier matches...and was thus the most likely candidate to do it.

Uruguay are not in luck either (but for semifinals that is), Suarez red carded, 30 minutes more played than Netherlands...

Ghana for a brief moment gave me hope, but alas it was taken away :(

I think the English team could take a few lessons from Gyan, 10 minutes to get him off the ground and stop him crying and another 5 to get him off the field, that's national pride for you.

Now I can say I'm over the world cup, I don't care what happens now...
