The turns to mass you wouldn't even be worth the defence weapons I would be killing. Get something more note worthy and I may go the old skool route

This is the logical course of action, true. There is one flaw in your logic though, nobody has even decided to AC me since the first mass of my defense (which had 5M spies back then), and when Thamuz and Ganba had a go at me. The rest are sabbing, just for sabbing. Nobody has gone after my attack weapons yet. It's far more than my defense weapons as well which is weird.
The 'old skool route' should be the main route, not massing a defense just to take down enough spies so you can sab away his/her defense. Either way if you want to try this way, I would be more than happy to build something for you or anyone but the problem is that it would just be sabotaged away to begin with by others, if not yourself.
