Yeah technically you can't do that. You can buy someone a USS in exchange for Q resources.

On that note... how many Q UU would you want in exchange for buying me a USS? :D

You can however sell resources for cash and then buy a USS or SS with that or buy a USS for someone in return for Quantum resources.
