If you are unsure whether you are logged out, you are doubly silly for clicking on the page anyway.. No. If you are unsure, you do the open extra tab thing and save yourself the mess of having to log in and go back. When in doubt, bake cookies. Same thing applies here.

Fine, though I doubt any players with some experience in being online for a few hours on end run into this, and casual players have enough time to spend those 2 seconds.. Still I do not see admin taking any action, because frankly, it would not be worth his time. (See Duckie's comment which makes perfect business sense.)

It doesn't need to be a few hours, it can just be half an hour of inactivity.

Or if admin has php includes set up (I'm sure someone has mentioned that previously) all he has to do is edit one php file, and any page which includes that page, will automatically have it work.

And even if he didn't have php includes set up, it would be simple to copy and paste the code into the 10-20 separate php files used for this game, within 10 minutes.

PHP always has server side includes, outer domain includes can be turned turned off for security reasons.
He would actually have to use a bit of sepperate coding for each page, it looks a like, but not the same.
The technique you are referring too is used in larger frameworks like cake php or zend frame work.

Either way, it still takes hours to complete and test. And with all the suggestions and things mentioned that havent been done to improve the game, my best bet for this to get implemented is nihil.

I'm not expecting this to be done overnight or anything. I'm sure admin wouldn't mind doing this over a few weeks, a little bit of coding and testing here and there, perhaps even on the dev server, if he thought it was a good idea. I doubt he would want to implement it straight away.

Half the suggestions on here would probably be days worth of coding, but that doesn't knock those suggestions down.

You misunderstood. I said someone who is ACTIVE for a few hours on end. Not inactive. Because derp, of course you get logged out when you are not around, thank heavens. I mean that people who are used to being online for hours on end are experienced when it comes to the log out time.

You are right there, shouldnt take his work for granted I supose, besides after all these years its still here, a decline, but still here, and updates do come on certain intervals.

You misunderstood. I said someone who is ACTIVE for a few hours on end. Not inactive. Because derp, of course you get logged out when you are not around, thank heavens. I mean that people who are used to being online for hours on end are experienced when it comes to the log out time.

Or like me for example, sitting in a uni class with this game open, have to focus on something for a little bit, then I decide to check the game again, thinking I'm still logged in.
