@Kjarkur....are you trying to equip them? It should only say something about a 24 hr wait if you are trying to equip your demis (not accept their request)

no problemo, fixed something with attacking as well which made it harder for people to find demis whilst attacking xD, so (as it should be) attacking, normally, will be the easiest way to nab a demi.

Not sure if you fixed it Sol, but I have now accepted the request.
Not sure if it had something to do with their being an auction on, but once I had reclaimed the DMU I was able to accept.
