Technically not true, they Mayan calendar does take leap years into consideration. They also don't believe the world is going to end, it means it is the birth of a new calander. Which is a shame as it is meant to be be a happy time for them and not a press promotion period!

but the 21st of december 2012 was believed and predicted to be the end of their current.world (the 4th world)

and they calculated their end of the world date excatly 13 bak'tuns from.the start date 0.0.0.0.0.0

and that ended up 21st dec 2012 . obviously

because 13 bak'tuns is 1,872,000 days

Seriously, the leap year is defined by a georgian calendar and is based on the full rotation of the Earth around the Sun. Which takes 356.25 days. The Mayan calandar is a long based counting calandar. Today is the solstice and how the Mayans calculated everything. The only thing which is out of what they were predicting is that the planets are meant to align at the end of a calandar, which coincidentally, is the same reason that started the scaremongery...the threat of a solar flare or CME...but the fact the planets will not align today means nowt will happen.

Look up the calendar properly Ryu you will find that it is vastly superior even to the one we use every day! It definately ends today

The whole world ending pap was typical poor journalism, they based it off 1 dude's "findings" from an unearthed mayan basement that seemed to be the workshop of a mayan scientist who had written out the calender in paint on the walls, probably to help him with some calculations he was working on. It just happened to end because he ran out of walls to make the next grouping of, i believe, 600 yrs which is apparently how their calender was designed.

Experts confirm there is no reason the Mayan calender cannot keep track for billions of years, you just add another 600 yr grouping each time one runs out.

Sorry, no apocalypse, the world may end but not this day.

im not sniping mate - im not around near a pc lol... the last thing i really did was mini mass sumones ms (and a few mins ago attacked 2 ppl)... i cant remember who.. well i wont be able to mass like i did for the next few days, i am insanely busy at work and well just dont have the time. i managed to grab my turns from the MTs (and we got free turns woohoo).

oh and wolve we all know you guys have a very well known sniper among you. since he reattached at the beginning of the war i have only seen him build once or twice. the rest of the time he is statless.. even when he masses - really nothing to lose for him...
