A Certain Magical Index or Toaru Majutsu no Index
Has anyone seen this? I just got done watching the first one, i'm about to watch the second one soon. This is the first anime I've watched that is below a couple hundred episodes long.. and I love it. If you've not watched this i'd recommend you give it a chance.

Re: A Certain Magical Index or Toaru Majutsu no Index
Toaru Majutsu no Index is set in a world where both science and magic coexist. Kamijou Touma, you regular high school kid lives within a place called Academy City, the so called “utopia of science” as well as an utopia for a new type of people known as ESPers, people who can have supernatural abilities by controlling the laws of science.
(Main Character) Kamijou Touma, being a student in the Academy City, has a strange power called “Imagine Breaker”, a skill which allows him to dispel anything magical or is a product of ESPer powers.
On the other hand, there is Index Prohibitorum Librorum (or Index for short), a nun who has the superhuman ability to remember virtually anything and has memorized in her mind 103,000 grimoires concerning magic that is prohibited by the church or is otherwise just far too dangerous to be used.
One day, Touma found a starving Index hanging in his balcony after being chased by mysterious men, begging him for food. This is where the story starts as Touma finds himself in the middle of all the problems concerned with letting a walking manual for destruction live in his house.
From what i've been watching so far, i'd prob give it a 7/10 it has a good concept and all but then again I haven't finished it yet. The science side of the story tends to be a little more intresting then the magic side as well.

Re: A Certain Magical Index or Toaru Majutsu no Index
To Aru Kageki no Railgun(a certain Scientific Railgun) is a Science Side Spinoff focusing more on Misaka Mikoto, and certain events from her perspective leading up to the Sisters Arc(which I think is actually covered in Railgun II).
The Movie, To Aru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki, follows up further on the Index side as magic and science war once again. With miracles of magic and science complicating issues.
I know a bit about the series. :-p Been meaning to read the Light novels one of these days, but haven't gotten up the courage to tackle the twenty two original series books, and nine additional "new Testiment" books. Nevermind the side stories and official parodies. This series is also why I picked up one of my new screen names.... "A Certain Psi Ann Tific Railgun"

I love both the main series as well as the spin off The opening scene (of the first episode) of TMnI remains epic and typical of poor Touma's bad luck
Currently ingame known as BenMS
Goblin: "I like your boots."
Sorcerer: "That's because you don't have any. The emotion is called envy."
