Advance Warning: (early or mid) April downtime

When BIG changes come, some advance notice MAY be given, depending on the type of enhancement.
this is where to discuss these that are announced, and where we announce them.

Advance Warning: (early or mid) April downtime

Hail,

At some point in early to mid April the server's backend will be updated.
At that time, expect ~6h downtime. This is the first warning, a second warning closer to the time will be shown in game.

This update is necessary to maintain and improve server stability. Because of anticipated impact, advance warning is given.

Kind regards,

Re: Advance Warning: (early or mid) April downtime

Is this why the game has been having repeated issues with having secure connections / > https: < recently?

It's currently only an issue on the ascended server if you try to access ascended.gatewars.com and the https: is NOT specified, but it's also been an issue on the main server recently...

I know that several of my fellow clan mates had noticed it, and reported it in our clan chat, but so far I haven't seen any bug reports on these forums. ](*,)

No. The downtime announced in this thread turned out not to be necessary.
Your issue concerns an expired SSL-certificate that was renewed ~24 hours late. :)

Of course! If and when we do schedule downtime, you will be made aware through the channels available (including in game). :)

No. The SSL-expired state occurred between (late) April 19th and (at most) April 21st. Since an expired SSL-certificate does not prevent you from logging in as usual, this does not qualify as 'downtime'.
