atm there is the need to change password ingame every few months, an added guard would be having to verify change via email.
would help prevent people obtaining accounts and not changing login details.
because atm people can hold several accounts under several email addresses as game recognises the account still belonging to the orginal email holder

Verify what change? Of the password? That is already how it works, ante hoc verification by way of a link e-mailed to the address on register.
You request a link by way of which you can set a new password. This link is e-mailed to you. You click the link.
You enter both your current password and your new password, you confirm your new password, and submit. Then, you can log in using your new password.
Similarly, if you change the e-mail address on an account, an e-mail is sent to the previous address on register informing them of the change.
I am happy to answer questions if things are unclear, but answering hypotheticals that are not based on the reality of the game is a fruitless effort.
Or did you accidentally post something meant for Ascended in Main's section?

I do not understand this sentence.
