I had one guy who kept asking me for money over MSN. I gave it to him the first time, then I blocked him when he asked again a week later.

agreed with co_flame BUT: do not attack the same people always, if they are in an alliance.. possibility is high you get some kicks afterwards...

Keep in mind as well that with current market prices:
1,230,000,000 Naquadah for 690 Turns for 10,600 Miners/Lifers for 10USD.
It was at about 700 last night.

Turns are what people are looking for. If you need a shiny new mothership or a new spy level, you can trade your turns in and get other things with it. When your starting out don't go 'crazy' on the useage of turns. Focus on you UP, to train UU into miners to make more naq. Use your race modifer to your advantage. For example, if you are Asguard, build your defense, if you are tauri save those turns, because we all get the same number of turns a day, but as tauri we have a stronger attack(don't blow what you need to use your modifer to your best benefit because other races don't need to save it to use their modifer...if that makes sense*). You can trade a relatively low number of them for a large number of naq, miners/lifers, or UU.

*Two players with 48 turns each, same nukbers of troops, and all else is equal except you are Tauri, and your opponent id Asguard. You use all your turns attacking for 2million naq, and when the poo hits the fan between the other player they naturally have a strong def. They don't need turns to defent themself, you need turns to use your stronger Tauri attack, and if they're gone, you can just take the beating, while repairing high maintaince costs on equip. everytime you attack your Asguard opponent.

Strategy comes into play here to minimize what you want to give and maximize what you want to get. You can pretty much get more per turn than market rates because people have to wait to get it(ie. there is a limit on the amount you can get per day, not including buying them using cash, or gifts from other players, etc.....all things equal, we all get 48 a day).,
