Agreed, code is simply annoying, not a defence against anything except the normal players enjoyment of the game.

update is bad, it really sucks for those using mobile internet to try and login now they cant at all. bad update. i agree though, forum isnt doing this just to piss people off. gotta experiment with things alittle it will most likely be fixed eventualy.

Actually in all seriousness, if it weren't for the "mobile" community, it would only just be annoying. But because of the mobile community I'd say at least 25% of the players are affected, probably more. I don't use a mobile currently to check mine, I usually have access to workstations and what-not. But I know what it's like to not be able to check a game because of image-codes.

I think the "idea" behind this was a good one, but in this case it didn't work out to well.

My point though was - what is the idea behind it? What is it meant to achieve?

As has been pointed out - it will not stop scripters as scripts can be created to auto-refresh pages once already logged in - and since it seems that this was introduced to stop people from aut-logging in when they are asleep - it is therefore pointless. Wouldn't you say?

And it was already annoying having to put in an email address - this has made it worse.

I'm interested in Forum's thoughts on this...............????

My only thought was that possibly some players were trying to crack accounts? Maybe some players let their Email slip so that only the password had to be cracked...

i suggest this update to forumn over pm, what it will achieve is stop scripts from logging on and doing anything on the game.
i also suggested that everyone is logged out on the turn change to stop cheaters logging in and turnign no a script, but generally a cheater will be cheatign on mroe thna just one server , and this will mean his/her script wont work.

This will stop some cheaters , if you make it so the game logs out on the turn then itll stop all sleep scripters , this may make it slightly inconvient for people but alas it is nessecary to stop the cheats.

Now as you say mobile users are being totally hamperd , well im sure forumn can try to design a new way of howign the code which will allow mobiel users to view it, maybe havign the codes appear in the back ground's themselves (assuming phone users see the back grounds, this migth be able to be done and solve this problem or other solutions can be thought of.

I recon only a small majority use phones to ascess it anyway , and why was phones never brought up when the bank code was made... banking is a massivbe part of the game it should have been brought up then/

If it is this forum or MSN then I assume I am sorta safe. My game account is different then either other service.

Yea, the mobile phone thing was very anoying when it first came in but at least we could still buy weapons. It is actually possible to make phone versions of websites, if forum does that then this anoying update would be bareable. But stopping those few people who spend naq while asleep vs hurting all those people who log on with phones isn't really worth it. What ever system you have in place, someone will abuse it, you just gotta hope the majority don't.
