Overpowered? Lots of naq? None stolen!?

I spotted the player known as "TheRealEnder8000"
At the time, He had 80 mil naq give or take.
My spys report minimal defensive capability.
War was declared,
My army rushes in full force backed by my mothership for 15 turns.

My forces Devastated his forces, 0 Naquada was taken!?!?!
I take another look, Maybe somebody got there before me?
No! The Naquada is still there!

Is this cheating? Or a Bug? Either way I was cheated out of a lot of naquada!
