a player that has covert /anti-covert 31 and has that reset may not agree with you on it being easy to take care of in 1 month....if they need to ascend again

The main suggestions to far say nothing about losing spy levels, only ascended bonuses, even for those that are descend completely back to their original race, they would keep all their covert levels and UP rates, they simply lose all the % bonuses to strike etc.

if HOWEVER the lose 5% bonus happens, then many will be knocked from 25% to 20% etc... etc..

and to get back to where they were they would have to ascend and THUS lose there coverts, im sorry if i didnt explain it further but i think im digressing

If they lose their covert levels because they re-ascend then it is because they CHOOSE to do so. If they think the benefits are not worth the risk then they don't have to reasend.

I only ascended about 2 months after ascension came out and I am working on my last ascension now. I would be very upset if I was descended, even once but I knew from reading the pages you go threw in the ascension process that I could be descended and it is implied that you could lose everything. I was willing to take that risk since a wargame where you can't be completely destroyed (or almost so) isn't nearly as much fun and much less of a challenge and frankly the only reason I have worked so hard on getting my ascensions right and building a page 1 ascension account is because you would be able to do so much damage when descension became available.

I have sacked plenty millions of UU to make sure my ascended account is strong enough to NOT get descended. If this 1 month rule goes into effect, im simply putting vacation mode and wont play ascension anymore. No one can actually be beaten, and its just a fancy replica of the main server.

Im not going to waste all my hard earned resources reascending for the sole purpose of taking away 5% of someones bonus for a MONTH. It actually makes me laugh! Next thing you know, ascension is going to go to the exact path that main is currently at. People build into the trillions of power and never worring about ever being completely defeated.

I must point out it is 100% of there bonuses for the month

there is a group of people suggesting that on top of that you lose 5% of your bonus in main PERMANTLEY

and i believe very soon people will not be able to go on vacation mode in ascended like they can now

Okay - a few points:

1 - It has been stated by some people that no warning was given of this - well what exactly do you call this thread? Secondly - there has been talk of descension coming and what it might do since the day that the Ascension server went online - both in the Ascended forum and in the main forum.

2 - Ascension and Main are NOT separate games - the sheer fact that you get/improve your ascended account by ascending in main should prove that - along with the fact that you get Ascended Blessing in main for your second ascension.

3 - Descension was always coming - and always with the intent that it would affect Main.

4 - Of course vacation mode in ascension should be limited in some way - preferably using one of the methods I've suggested - not to have it restricted would mean that people are falsely claiming their bonuses in Main and would have NO risk of losing them - which is unfair to the people who actually play Ascension.

AS ever - I am open to compromise - and think something along the line sof Bahamut's idea for G&R could be employed for those who wish to improve their account without ascending - although doing so in such a manner should have less of an effect on your account than what ascension does.

But its called the MAIN server for a reason, its the one that the most people play. Most people would have that be the main if not only account to join.

Just consider.. 1month is A LONG TIME, this game has only been around for what? 16? 17?

Its a hell of a long time to lose all bonuses... MUCH WORSE than losing 1 level each month, since you could easily ascend 2 or 3 times in 1month...

You want to kill people? Admins way is probably the most effective way..

Sorry to keep banging on at this 1vs1 idea

I think if we make this essentially a duel between 2 accounts. The player whoose life force is depleted to Zero is forced to descend for say 4 weeks and after this time is unable to do personal attacks or be attacked for a further 2 weeks. Once initiated the duel is a fight to the death neither party can leave the field until it is complete and no other players can interfere

That way the agressor may find themselves descended at the end of the duel rather than the defender.

I am a single ascender and I have worked hard to keep up with multiple ascenders to the extent I have had to rejoin the main game having left primarily to build my ascension account. I think that complete descension would just make people who have worked so hard VERY annoyed!

I think what he ment... was that say.. LG+1.. gets 30% bonus to atk, defense, covert, etc...

You lose that for 1 month regardless of what level, not actual ascension's.

I think he made an extra post explaining that somewhere.

Still... keep ascended weps.. things like that. Just the % to atk, def, etc and the ascended blessing..
