Mothership Fleets. Worth it?

They're expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and add very little offensive and defensive power.

99.9% of attacks/raids I go on don't involve capturing planets, so they're proving to be an expensive luxury to have.

I'm thinking of selling the whole lot. Can anyone point out a reason why I should have fleets? (apart from needing them to capture planets, I know that )

nope, i think there pointless. the only thing in my eyes they are good for are getting planets. and i only sell the locations so to me they are usless and 1 gives me 256,000 power and for over 3 million naq that aint worth it.

say, if a planet has 1.5bil power, how many fleets do I need?

well 1k unascended fleets give u 256 mil fleet strength. 1k ascneded fleet strengtht is 560mil or so (forgot exact number)

so assuming u havent ascended ud need a ridiculuos ammount of 6k fleets to get a chance to match its def, best is to mass them wil a slightly lower fleetstrenght differencematching and surpassing might be too expensive depending on planet defense

if I mass a defence, with fleets, my normal attack, and his normal defence, don't come into play, do they?
