hacking
it seems someone hacked my account. my ingame name is lord seth of earth. i tried to log in today and my password was changed. i retrieved it through my email and when i came on my account, i found that my covert units were sold and my turns were transferred to another player.

There have been multiple warnings about using unique passwords on every game server. Any particular reason why you chose to ignore those warnings and use the same information anyway?

TSA Command is doing everything we can to find out how and why Minostauer got and accepted these brokers. We are also working with Treebeard, Command member of teh Hive to sort this out as Seth is a member of The Hive. If I have even the slightest suspicion that Minos had any purposeful actions in this matter, I will personally call for his removal from the game, but until then we need to find out what happened first.

i just got a message from Minostauer saying that Demus did it, asking him to take the resources as a middle-man, saying that i wanted to trade with him, but he couldnt get on SGW because it was blocked where he was. i do not even believe i have ever had to deal with Demus, whether hostile or friendly, in any way.

Like Tok'ra, it's hard for me to feel much sympathy when you're doing everything in your power to make it as easy as possible for someone to gain access to your account. I suppose the next step would be to tattoo your password to your forehead.
Change your password on SGW, make it a unique password, 8 or more characters in length, no words, just letters, numbers, mixed upper and lower case, and at least one symbol. Then, memorize it or write it down and keep it in your wallet or something. Just don't reuse passwords.

and also.... the idiot that hacked my account did it again!!!!
Lord Seth of Earth Minostauer 1,309,976,427 Naquadah 1 Naquadah Apr 08, 2007 Expired.
one question
is the password different when you got hacked now from what it was before when you got hacked? or is it the same?
if it's the same then I am somehow in favor of saying, dno't compensate him cos he asked for it
nevertheless if eart minostauer is indeed in any way connected to the "hacking" (btw any chance it's a rl friend pranking you or taking revenge on you) then he needs to get punished, independent of seths ignorance for basic security issues. (I play several games too and even on sgw servers my informations are not the same, i.e. even different mails and always different passwords)
