Ok i'am going to explain it again...
when you do your techs, you get the bonus for the weapons. BUT you don't get the bonus for the sheilds. meaning, that if have say 400 techs. and my defence is 1.5 bil Normal. i should have a defence of 6bil.
Now if i attack someone, my MS get's major sheilds broken if they have a stike of more then 200mil. Under i 150 i don't take damage, so the 1/10 is still working. But it should be under 600mil that i don't take damage.
So can you please get back to me, and see if you can get this fixed finally.

Right now i think the code goes ( tech times attack) and this is then used to figure out the shield damage, but i don't think the sheild gets the tech bonus.

High Empty's Haven THE BREAKER adds 2,479,547,648 additional attack onto their ground troops!
Sam uses its Energy Volley to inflict 4,261,087,500 damage, destroying 40 Energy Shields on Haven THE BREAKER!
Case 3
Haven THE BREAKER uses its Energy Volley to inflict 18,017,460,000 damage, destroying 9 Energy Shields on Jim!
Blowing through the defenses, it also destroyed 2 Energy Volley!
High Empty's Haven THE BREAKER adds 2,502,287,118 additional attack onto their ground troops!
Jim uses its Energy Volley to inflict 140,981,400 damage, destroying 2 Energy Shields on Haven THE BREAKER!

Looking at the damage caused.
It appears that the coding is slightly off.
I think the mothership is supposed to work like Main, and therefore if you reach a certain level of overkill, that the damage done to you decreases.

It is like this...at 200 techs total (including 100 base techs), ur mothership is 1 time stronger. At 300 techs total it is 1.5 times stronger than at begining, at 400 techs total it is 2 times stronger, at 800 3 times stronger, at 1600 4 times stronger, at 3200 5 times stronger, and so on...formula is something like this: 100% + x % / 200 = how much ur MS is acctualy stronger than base...let's use this example: 100% + 600% /200 = 3.5 times stronger...this formula works till 900 techs I think, do not have time tonight to solve it up for more than that...but I hope u get the meaning...because everytime u wanna have 100 percent bigger/stronger MS techs require you to multiply it with 2...so let's say u have 100 base techs and u have 17 techs already instaled, you'll need 234 total techs (117 upgrades) that your MS will be 2 times stronger...
yeah I'm not that bad at maths

EDIT: Just thought of a formula that isn't 100% accurate but about 90% for more than 1k...
100% + x% / 400
x = 1500% (for 1600 techs)
for more it's this:
(100% + x) / (1.5 * 400)
x=3100
then it always dubles the amount you multiplied it before...it ALWAYS dubles 200...so it is first 200, then 400, then 800, then 1600, then 3200 , then 6400, etc.
(100% + x) / (2y)
y depends on which number is x.
Like I said, formula isn't 100% but approx 90% accurate...gotta show this to my maths teacher, he'll definatly give me a good grade for it

to find out how many techs do you need to double your MS you follow this formula... :
n*2+100 , n = number of techs that you have now...
ex: n= 0 ==> 100 techs to double your MS
n= 100 ==> 300 techs to double your MS
n= 200 ==> 500 techs to double your MS
n= 300 ==> 700 techs to double your MS
n=1000 ==> 2100 techs to double your MS
Or to calculate how many times is bigger than the intial MS (without techs) 100+n
n*2+100 , n = number of techs that you have now...
ex: n= 0 ==> 100 techs to double your MS
n= 100 ==> 300 techs to double your MS
n= 200 ==> 500 techs to double your MS
n= 300 ==> 700 techs to double your MS
n=1000 ==> 2100 techs to double your MS
Or to calculate how many times is bigger than the intial MS (without techs) 100+n

well admin did some adjustments...when I was testing for him it looked like if opposite MS has 10% of my sheild strenght on their nuclear volleys, it'll destroy about 7.5% of sheilds I have...meaning if I have 1000 sheilds, it'll destroy 75 sheilds...this goes up till about 20% of MS sheilds that it can go in one blow...not sure tho...when I showed results to admin, he said it's working ok now
