Gotta admit I though pergatory was purely to limit turns - a bit like creating an Old Skool Server except that you could come and go as you please....
ppt in pergatory? I don't see what is so bad about it...even if you go on ppt for four days in there, you can't come out until after 5 days so you've still got a day exposed. (and if you go in on ppt, then use two ppts and then come back out - what is the point because you'll have been on ppt so perfectly safe on main server)
In favour:
It would give more scope for growth, but still much less than main.
It would give use to MTs for people that don't have planets.
Against:
You want more protection??!! Tough. You will all burn in pergatory!
Even if you don't have planets, you might as well buy Merlins widgets because you never know when they'll come in handy.
Overall:
The in favours seem to outweigh the against to me.
