Monitors do not have limbs or other parts that are movable enough, so we cannot say how it is to be done. However practical it could be at times.

throw as in force it to increase its velocity in the direction of the hanna montegue or whatsitsfaces fans face, hopefully killing them. i was thinking some for of explosion...

or we could just send them a virus that prevents all access to anything containing said crummy material...
