Why does no one ever say that to the pathetic 2+ year old morons at sports games who cheer and shout and cry and get mad and overjoyed when there team does something corresponding to one of those things? There is no difference, those games are as much real as this one is. Or when people get happy and all that stuff for a silly sci-fi programme.

"Its just a game" is the biggest pile of crud ive ever heard when it comes to excuses.
I'm no one?

maybe that was the wrong analogy, lol he's not even playing the game

.. hes mad cuz he doesnt have a title anymore on a forum for a game that was created after a television show. woopty do i dont even watch stargate. and thats my final word. this topic is no longer worth my time
people act like that at games because if they do good, they think they're better than the other people and wanna rub it in. if they lose, then they're embarrassed because the other people are doing it to them. your reasoning implies that ero thinks that he deserves the title because hes better than us.
there are some people who are as good as you, but nobody is better. besides, getting offended by an insult that was never said in a forum about a game thats about a television show makes you an incredible nerd

Because nerds are sensitive to comments involving real life, whereas sportspeople are obviously already in real life?
Anywho.
Whats real life?

I have finally snapped at all this lol. This IS real life. When we walk around pretending to actually be a goauld, thats real life to. Yeah it is. Just because its on a computer dosent mean its fake, it make be a different part, but it is no less real. Typing is talking. Playing with pixels is playing with a ball or bat, or even both. A lot of people use money for both.
Im in a chop busting mood tonight..

I said that was not what I meant.... what I meant. What I was not speaking about.
I was never calling you a name. It was not what I meant in what I said.

Prove to me my life is real, heck, prove to me ANYTHING is real, and I will eat my hat.

The nice one I bought three weeks ago in Soho.

Bust that.

Or
Did they sink to his "level" and give a reaction to each action of his.
Food for thought.
I don't know how that could have been done. Here is one example:
Nicholai Brocov wrote:Ero'Sore, sorry but I think you are wrong and I can't help but get the feeling you totally read too much into the situation. I can appreciate that you want to crucify mods that don't live up to anyones expectations, hell we all do eventually. An mods like Spacey are just jokes tbph, it's mods like him that are so bad at the job that no one pays any attention to all the inactivity of the other major mods lol.
For example, I sent out a semi-mass mailing of an informative private message about the
Goa'uld Mod Elections to all the global mods, and do you know how many of them did anything? One.
Lore. There was another mod that responded, pointlessly wasting my time to eventually tell me she didn't give a damn. Has anything been done yet? No, well not entirely, the topic did get locked at least, now it'll just be easier to forget about. As it sinks deeper, and deeper into the abyss, that is other inactive topics in that area. But thats all besides my point.
I really don't care whose 'our' ombudsman. Because the existance of such a position is a moot point to begin with. Mods are the mediators for the admins, but a
real mod is technically their own mediator. It's an oxymoron at best and I think this entire thing has gone way too far. But I take solice in the fact that it is very amusing, so I thank you all for that much.

That message was sent out on Christmas eve, and NB posted that on Jan 3rd.
The view is that mods are at fault for not fully moving on something on christmans day to New years day. Surely it would be understood that we are spending time with family and friends and not at full capacity... but it wasn't.
I would say then that it would never have been possible for mods to 'just leave it without saying anything'. Someone would say that the mods are ignoring it. Like I point to in the above post.
Eros and I had an agreement on msn (it is in the spoilers in the thread in this and that). He would poll the community, and then we would talk again. He polled the community, and things escalated from there after I was massed by one of his friends.

Ero`Sore wrote:Whose complaints were you addressing when you went into Respect group?
I was not addressing a complaint, I made a positive suggestion on how to improve the Respect Group. Is there a rule in the ombudsman manual that says you cannot make suggestions or have opinions?
No sir. You attacked members and leaders saying that they did not belong, and only got in due to being friends with leaders. That is not a suggestion.
You said that we need to clean house, but periodically I send out pm's asking if people are still active to clean up membership.
Mr Mystake wrote:Eros you needed out because you couldn't seperate pride from duty.
Eros, a former ombudsperson is saying you did a bad job. Surely that must count for something with you?
Borek wrote:Truth of the matter is the mods never wanted an Ombudsman in the 1st place and they were waiting for Eros to do something they could jump all over. Mystake only got made Ombudsman because jason made it happen and it seems to me that the mods are now trying to discredit the position as much as possible to divert us from the fact that the forums haven't actually improved much, if at all, since Nov 1st when this "new team" (that was actually almost all the old team with a new head Admin) started.
Real problem with this whole issue is the Mods never appreciated that Eros was NEVER gonna be negotiating with them in the 1st place, he's not that type of guy. I don't believe Eros ever intended to negotiate with the mods, he didn't see it as part of his role, he saw his role as calling them out when the mods did something stupid, if it wasn't resolved as he saw fit i would fully expect him to mass said Mod/s.
I never expected anything more from Eros, but it appears the mods thought they were getting some sort of uber Diplomat instead of a rabid massing monster, lol.
You are one of the few whom I've enjoyed reading post from. I must say that this one leaves me surprised. If anyone thinks that what you have described is what an ombudsman/woman person does, then I would hope they look that word up in the dictionary again. Here is one link and the quote:
http://www.answers.com/topic/ombudsman?cat=biz-finA man who investigates complaints and mediates fair settlements, especially between aggrieved parties such as consumers or students and an institution or organization.
You are calling someone an ombudsman and expecting him to no behave like one? I don't understand that.
Ero`Sore wrote:I have been advised by one of my friends that this all could have been a setup by the mods to get rid of me. Possible plotters include Psi and Spacey. I fell for it, but I have no regrets.
Now sir, you have insulted me. I take great offence. To suggest that I would do such a thing is noting short of an insult to my being. I have never done anything like what you suggest, nor would I ever.

Yeah... I bet they've already disseminated your RL address - signed you up for some Publisher's Clearing house magazines, and are leeching off your cable - cause they
know you.. next they'll go for the jugular - and steal your copy of 300.

Because so far Jack has done nothing but pointless Spam. They probably think he's not going to oppose any controversial activity they do or will do.

I don't get it. He is ombudsman and it's his job to resolve the dispute. You were ombudsman and you were only there to mass, as Balor said and you agreed?
How is it that two people with the same position are expected to do two totally different jobs?

You know what's funny? He said he read the whole mod forum... if he did that they he would have seen us talking about it, right?
or
Mystake would have seen it. He has access to the supermod and mod forum and is a member of the Respect Group. Mystake would have commented on it if something like that ever existed.
Eros, please save the conspiracies. Let's talk about fact. I don't know you. How would I know what would offend you?

Nah, I'm sure you mods just didn't give him (or mystake) access to the 'special' mod plotting section - clearly his "friend"
has access and was able to decipher your code.
Silly mods -
anyone would instantly recognize "SPAM!" as code for -
