lol. I am never taking part in this competition... one or two of you are true masters of photoshop, but your work lacks soul. You just use technicalities averse to meaning. This week's SOTW is a perfect example. Its just some random guy jumping. There is no purpose to it..and that true creativity that will forever elude you, would always be your achillies heel in these competitions. You follow trends, not inspiration..
Aside from that.. SOTW is a splendid idea, and all praise to Murkar for bringing it to the SGW forums, I will watch and admire your signatures with the keen eye of an artist until my leaving day.
Well done nightmare.

Well done nightmare.
How very humble of you to assume that you have a better understanding of art than the competitors here, once again affirming your arrogance.
My personal opinion on the matter? I don't consider sigs to be art. They are meant to be visually appealing but they are, for the most part, meaningless. How much meaning can you extract when the people you are making sigs for request halo or assassins creed? Also it's easy for you to criticize, but criticism means nothing unless you yourself can what you claim others can't - good art involves mastering both the meaning and the technical procedures of creation.
I don't make sigs as an outlet for creativity and inspiration - I save my writing for that.

Actually, i have yet to come with an ideea for this week`s sig with that dude as a character... he`s not that inspiring...

I agree with what you said about the halo sigs... not many people like old school anymore... :'(

Nightmare 100bil coming your way as promised, congrats

Semper..... don't get too hung up on the art of sig making..... it's a SOTW competition people can't really be expected to pour their heart and soul into an entry for something like this, especially when the theme's are pre-set.
Sigs are more of a form of design than art, the best digital art is in games and movies sig making is just taking this awesome digital art and sticking all together with some kind of flow.... at least that's how I see it.

lolyar, I was undecided about doing easter because it's a catholic holiday so I thought I'd postpone the decision until SOTW 3 comes up, so now it's decided.
