Had a thought, though.
Is it possible to get google adsense instead? I joined a text-based game because it wasn't bandwidth-intensive. I'm on dial-up, and it's a pest.
Needless to say, I won't be playing Stargate Worlds when it is released...

Dont like the Ad Banners I know the Reason for them but they are stupid Bloody Ads like why would i want a Pink Laptop?! I don't! but im Turning it off as a Safety thing as **Filtered** like that can serioulsy do damage to your computer and ive had enough issues with Virius, Spyware, Malware... but i do support the game and id rather a diffrent way to pay for it but not ads thats my two cents...

If you dont want to see the Adds Simply
Install:
FireFox 2.0
And Then Install:
Add-Block Plus
Then Block

yeah but that doesn't support the game. Google Adsense is what is used in the Google search pages and in gmail, and I (along with probably millions of others) have been using gmail for years and haven't had a problem with that. Best of all, it's text, so it's not as intrusive either.
Although, I do understand that payment is based on clicks for Adsense, not simply for being there...

Well if Yahoo Adds only need to b there. Firefox blocking Them should not make a difference

or just get opera and turn off images and put it on cached images. then you see the sidebar but not the ads

im all for the adds, they keep the game here,
but why do they have to be at the top? is there nowhere else you can put them? or pawn them off on one of the other servers? thats the only problem i have with them really
