I notice this is coming a long time after the last post. I don't know whether this thread talking about the same thing or not by now I stopped reading somewhere on page 4. In fact I'm not even sure what's possessed me to post here. Just have.

I'm just a player who's found his place in an alliance with what seems to have a rather (in)famous name, though mostly from before I was there. We have our problems, our frustrations, our annoyances, our seemingly rare truly good times. Many say we don't live up to our namesake, but that is a topic for someplace else.

I've taken to the idea of stay out of CoP politics, it never seemed that great an idea to do otherwise. It leads to all sorts of problems and someone seems to always get blown up in the end.

Admittedly the CoP has always seemed rather daunting, or a center of paranoia. Especially when you get one of those players that seem to feel that the liberal use of their power is a wonderful idea.

Statbuilder or Worrior? Well, I like to consider myself a little of both. In reality I'm probably more of a statbuilder. Now don't get me wrong I like the idea of flexing my strike for a change, and I understand that it will get very boring in the event that I'll have an account like a CoP member's. Recently I've taken enjoyment in the idea of trying to outbuild the commander for as long as my account can handle.

I play the game to have fun, even if at times there is stress. I went for rank for a while, and I had my fun with that. Now I have other goals.

And by now I have completely forgotten any reasons I had for writing this. My "point" I now leave up to the reader to decide now.

I'm thinking about how I want to word this, so please, if anything seems unclear , give me a chance to clarify by asking what I mean. The CoP, as I perceive it is not the bully that people believe it to be; merely a guarantee from the three alliances that we shall not commit any agressive actions against each other, nor shall we join in a war against said members. In this sense, I don't think the CoP really makes any difference to the game. Does it present a portion of the power? Yes, absolutely it does, but then you have to look at how long a majority of the players in omega, as an example are playing the game - if the game has gotten monotonous for anyone, it's the members of the CoP.

This said, CoP memebrs can choose to go to war, and as is often the case, DDE as an example vetoes Omega involvement, just as Omega and DD do, because the respective alliances like to fight their own battles. When you look at tha rankings, there are alliances that go toe to toe. To summarise, the only thing I think any reorganising of the CoP would do, is allow another consortium of alliances to do the same thing.
