that is what should qualify you as old school.
Yup, better one is if you can remember before alliances were an ingame feature.
even better, is if you can remember before sab
though, that may be more a mark of an ancient...

lol I still remember that, even when we had the button there and it didn't do anything.

I guess I am old school. I came at the end of the old school generation. I remember when mother ships came out I jumped up to rank 4 something. I also remember buying ss from the market for I think 20k or 30k uu when it first came out and you were actually capable of getting ss with the market. I remember the day raid came out. It came out at around 2:45 but was not offical until 3. This allowed raiding to happen for a lucky few. Then admin gave everyone their uu back and let people who raided keep it. I remember when ppt was only through cash. I remember when Elusive and UnKnown led the Archangels, the fattest and most powerful alliance.
Does anyone know what happened to Unknown, did he quit?
I guess I am old school hen, I remember when Omega was not exsistent.
I remember TA being a top alliance as well as OoC.
Sigh, this all happened though when my army size was under 5k

guess i am old as well...based from id and the date i registered here lol
well i remember that 1mil naq is ALOT, the 3rdibra was around he sabbed me for attacking his officer

thats why it was one of my reasons for joining the TA
-the highest spy level was at that time 17 i think
-having x302 would make you the happiest person on earth
-1k up was a big thing
-ss costs around 20-30k uu and if you had one people can see it because it was posted beside your name
-unlimited transferring merc
-no ip address limitation
-opticallove was the leader of the TA and there were no goulds or replis in the TA
-wolf359 just created EPA
-3rdlibra, the SAZ were the great gould at that time
-and finally at that time i think there was more role playing on the part of players, esp the OOC and the TA, meaning goulds were really nasty and wanted to enslave others while tauri fought them hehe thats why the TA and OOC were sworn enemies at that time lol
nice to remember the good old times...

If you can remember your UU going into battle, if you can remember failing a recon and losing all of your units, And if you can remember thinking that ingame mail was a great idea, you're ancient.

I remember the SLA in the heyday of its power...I remember before miners...and motherships...and the ingame market...I remember the coming of the Temple of Buck on the forums...and it's subsequent demise...

youd be surprised at how many older players are still around. i never registered on forum until a month or 2 ago but ive been around a longer then some people. i think if we took a poll, you would find more older people the newer, in fact, thats not a bad idea
