i've always considered the idea of solving food scarcity in Africa via feeding the Chinese to them one and the same. Solve Africa's food problems and China's overpopulation problems in one fell swoop!

*perhaps a little distastful put practical nonetheless*

no.
Eating human flesh almost always causes huge amounts of disorders and diseases. Much like how if you feed a pig another pig, it most of the time gets severely sick.

More pollution of the gene pool... yuck. If you see the growing groups of miscreants and other filth that comes from the heavily polluted gene pool, you realise there's need for someone or something to clean it up. Put the species' genetic development at a standstill for one or two generations, just enough to burn away all the filth that keeps Humans from reaching their potential.

Everyone needs to be born in a process, eliminate natural birth except for the people closest to perfection, the Penultimati. All others be formed and designated to their places in society in the process of their prenatal growing.
It's solving a *lot* of problems... it's easier to regulate the amountof growth in population, one can 'allocate' foetuses to specific groups of workers where there are few, one can select the most able minds to do the strategics and tactics, policies and propaganda... yes...

I see it all before my minds' eye.
Oi. I think I read Brave New World again too shortly ago. ;)

I feel the need to enter the topic

~Alterans~ wrote:And the health points...

Increased risk of breast cancer for women who eat meat daily compared to less than once a week: 3.8 times
For women who eat eggs daily compared to once a week: 2.8 times
For women who eat butter and cheese 2-4 times a week: 3.25 times
Increased risk of fatal ovarian cancer for women who eat eggs 3 or more times a week vs. less than once a week: 3 times
Increased risk of fatal prostate cancer for men who consume meat, cheese, eggs and milk daily vs. sparingly or not at all: 3.6 times.

Ahhhh stop affraiding people with those stats, let us enjoy what we eat, food cannot be healthy (yours) and tasty (ours) fully. Perfection doesn't exist (?)

Would you care to tell me that there is even one creature on this planet that does not feel pain? What makes us so much better than them?

Tell that to evolved monkeys who are closest to us in intel, or also dolphins...wait those clever ones eat meat or fishes :p the octopus eats animals too and it's one of most intelligent creature from the sea...
Why us fault? All mentionned do same as lions, tigers, cats, snakes etc...

PWNED

if u believe in evolution then read.....how did our ancestors evolved from simple monkeys to humans....well they ate meat, meat increased our brain sizes and muscle mass and body height and everything.
PWNED

hehe pwning in order

Oh and I do not believe in evolution so PWNED right back at you. replicators! Neither creation or evolution has substantial evidence to back them up. If you believe in creation, adam and eve started off eating vegetables.

and it was a forbidden APPLE wasn't it?

please post the website where your quoting from, in order to back up your "facts".

Animal cruelty is imo no reason to give up meat, considering that the animals would NOT exist if we didn't bread them to be eaten!

Humans have molars and incisors so that makes us Omnivours not herbivours or carnivours. By not eating meat your going against nature.

and btw, do you know for 100% certain that fruit and vegetables don't feel pain?

I am sorry but there is no evidence that says the fruit that adam and eve ate of was an apple, so bug off.

And there is no difference either that fruit was NOT an apple

Lord Osiris wrote:But chickens? seriously. They evolved to be eaten.

Can't agree more
They are the stupidest animals I ever knew

~Alterans~ wrote:You would be surprised at how easy it is to stay away from meat after you start. Oh and I had a fake steak the other day and it tasted darn good!

Impossible. I know how much I love it, and I will in no way leave it!!!

And Jadzia I knew you were not human    *runs*

Oh, how very true and open minded. :D
You're darned right you know... you think you know it all, know all life forms possible, but that's the same bloody arrogance that caused your fall the first time around. God... I can't see why the heck you lot just don't learn.
I know you have no genetic memories, but come on... we're talking about a MIND here...

I have a disgust for vegetables. I do eat them, like I eat rocks and meat, but I strongly dislike vegetables. To think Humans can place themselves out of the food chain is ridiculous arrogance... and you know the rules: "Pride goeth before the fall"
It always does, and yes... pretty sure you'll go down again. 'tis a bloody disgrace, but I hope this one time is permanent.

From an atheist view, or one in which dolphins cry, I'd say the fact that we run the risk of gorging ourselves to death is pretty darn good validation :P
From my actual point of view, the amount of food we ingest has relatively little to do with the metaphysical.

Next time I'll formulate more strictly... >.<
