So youve gone from saying the communties opinioons done matter, to saying fourms a liar ;) .

And explain how things HAVE changed due to mass complaints ;) .

Lets see, all SGW fourm users (with the exception of ETL).......... fourm........... who HAVENT you insulted yet ?

I think that covers all bases for the time being. Hey as i said im a realist, its not my fault people cant "handle the truth".

Tok`ra wrote:Oh, I agree people cant handle the truth, hell a LOT of my suggestions about whats wrong / can be used to fix the fourms are changes that are to be implemented on the 1st (yet at the time I was made a pariah for suggesting them)

That said, the communities opinions DO matter, because they DO influence decisions that jason makes.

He might not bother to always research too closely, and just read some opinions (a fact I can back up) but he DOES weigh peoples opinons.

But at the end of the day, the decision is still his, is it not?

Explain how they have changed? hmmm....what could possibly have changed? How about the mods becoming 'anonymous'? How about the temple of spam's names, or the new systems being brought in in-game to help noobies catch up. How about Moderators leaving?

Pick one.

Omeganman speaks truth. The community's opinion dont matter as far as admin is concerned. At the end of the day, no matter what anyone says, Jason and other admins are gonna do what they want. The community MAY suggest changes, but it's not gonna happen unless the admins want it to, we are nothing more then idea's, like thoughts in jason's head. It is indeed a very fine line to walk, but one that is there. I mean lets face it...just how much money do the admins get off everyone in game? Id hate to think to be frank. There are 3000-6000 forum users..(cant remember exact number..) what is the loss of those users compared to the other 20k that actually play? Lol.. from a business point of view, and how much money admin has probably already made. I doubt he even needs to actually listen to people.

Omega man... your contradicting yourself at every point. Everyones opinions are worthless if they post long posts because no one reads them? Yet Jakes and ETLs posts are worthwhile... Sounds like only opinions which you agree with are worthwhile, if so why do you come to this forum when you are unwilling to change your opinions on any matters or even listen to others which do not agree with your current viewpoint.

Lets face it... the games opinions do matter to Jason, you only have to look at the recent ascended changes and how they were discussed and implemented (I don't know if you have access to the ascended forums... if you don't pm a mod and he'll help you out). As for the community not degrading... I've been here a very long time and I can tell you it most certainly has. There are more heated arguments that result in insults/flaming, a trend towards short posts which can only constitute spamming in certain areas... look at the gc it is full of comments consisting of nothing but a "8)" or a "lol" etc.. The forum was not like this ages ago, you only need to look at some of the old goa'uld forums for that when esker was wreaking some havoc... they were heated, but there wasn't (that I can remember at least) the constant need to remove insults and flaming by moderators. Look at your own posts as an example... There is no need to insult or flame on the forums, it just destroys the sense of community that you get from being around here.

Moderating has become a joke anyway mate. New rules seem to get added when it suits the admins, mods/admins who break the rules get promoted instead of banned, people who are "perma-banned" just come back with a new account, hell, 60% of the mods have actually left in disgust already and the ones left either can barely cope with it or cba to even log into their mod accounts.

I'm not saying the posters aren't adding their large share of the hassle, but when the staff have no idea how to enforce their own rules and employ people who "flip out" and insult the community what the hell do you expect them to do?

Isn't that what a suggestion is? lol, you SUGGEST something, then they decide if the idea will work practically?

Tok`ra wrote:As far as your commentary on change zeus, yeah Ive seen it too in over two years of playing the game.

Anyone remember when Bahamut kicked jenny from AK over her moding him ?

It caused some subdued uproar on the forums, because such immature behavior so deviated from the norm.

That deviant behavior has, however, became the norm.

Not with all or indeed MANY alliances, but it is tolerated to an extent that if you merely disagree with the wrong person on the forums your stats are forfeit.

Now, depending on HOW you disagree, and what degree of behavior you show when doing so, it might be deserved, however what has a game come too when you get threatened for simply stating your opinion.

And can ANYONE here say they truly appreciate a forum were you get attacked (personally or in game) for having a divergent opinion.

You are quite right there sir.

Over the past couple of years it has become a forum fact that if you speak out to the wrong person then you will pay for it in game or by getting abused verbally.

There was a time when you could disagree on this forum and still get along with people in general because there was a sense of community among everyone here, but that just doesn't exist these days.

(I know that.... but he could have made a new account. I just generally dont ever remember hearing from/of him until about jan this year. Someone like him, im bound to have seen/heard of him before so I think his claims of remembering anything from the beggining of the game are a load of crud, because ETW wasnt round that long.)
