A large amount of people were sucked in an manipulated by this player/forum user, and it was in no way a small deal. People were genuinely concerned and I'm sure there were a few who were praying for the health of the invented character.
To ask for forgiveness after such a betrayal is a bit too much to expect, and although there will be those that can forgive and forget, I think you'll find that most people will just want this player to disappear and never return. Most likely those who actually cared deeply for the thread or falsified situation.
It's not enough to say sorry. At the end of the day, you need to take responsibility and accept that you won't ever be forgiven and that in itself is your punishment for what you have done.
We have all made mistakes, but there are lessons to be learned.
I believe those who forgave and support her cared also during that time or otherwise they wouldn't really care of this topic..

I believe that you are giving auriel a very difficult time with this matter. forget her previous actions, and view the one she has just made. She decided to tell a bunch of people she didnt know about a mental condition she is suffering from, i dont know about you but that particular action must have taken a lot of courage. Yet you view her as a criminal and treat her as though her actions could have been avoided (who are we to judge).
Auriel has been my commander in SGW for about a month and i have had many conversations with her. she has treated me with the up-most respect and i hope i have treated her in the same fashion.
its very easy for one to judge another without looking at all the circumstances, but it takes a true individual to forgive and forget past actions, and most importantly, move on.

The moral of this story?
Some people are willing to forgive and forget.
Some are not.
You can not expect sympathy after you have betrayed an entire community so deeply, and you shouldn't expect forgiveness.
Having said that, there seems to be people who have forgiven, and good on you guys for being able to do that. But do not try and seek forgiveness from those who would rather never speak of you again.

Serious this topic was for auriel to come clean she did. Some players forgave her some don't. However she came clean so she did her job. Now it is up to us as community to make a choice. There is no need to keep posting here as it will just be fuel to the fire. Like obvious in game and in life. Leave one alone and be left alone. The people who support her stated so clearly the people who dont did the same. Case closed she has to prove herself to the community again and she will get enough help to guide her in that path. Auriel you know i forgave you and if you ever need my advice you know where to find me

Haven't read this thread and don't intend too.
This waste of space made it as a Mod, I am impressed, is she in line for an admin job as well?
She/it/whatever, is an utter waste of time and everything she said in her initial post, was again, probably a lie.
If you believe her sincerity, you are an even bigger joke than her.
Now, where is REK, he and I need to talk 'business'

When I get desire to be active again on these forums I've JUST to come here and read several posts and this desire disappear as fast as naquadah in a war on a defenceless account
...
Difference being: naquadah is "attractive" (notice quotation marks, it's not really attractive lol), while this forum (more and more after weeks passing) is...less and less

Two wrong posts don't make a right one however let me parpahrase 9 pages for you.
She's not a mod anymore, we didn't know she was elladen when we made her one. She was never in line to be an admin.
After being made a mod and her identity came to light she voluntarily stood down as a mod.
Forgiving her or not is entirely up to you, no one is being made to.
Personal attacks on anyone, even auriel (I am not accusing you of this btw) are not tollerated on the forums.
