you were mostly here in forum, ingame all you did was basically scamming
and yes, i remember todd, great player in the begining
but that list is too short, for the great players that have acrossed this game throughout these years

Smiley faces aside, I disagree entirely. My exploits and tactics were the cause of a great many changes in various rules of the game overtime, such as the ppt / vaca mode alternation. My board persona was ALWAYS an extension of my style of gameplay, not the reverse.
My allegiance was always to myself, and I had the opportunity at numerous times to prove it - and not only that, I had the stones to take those opportunities. I took advantage of all the trust that was ever placed in me. I caused a great bit of stir in the game, whether it was the execution of this practice on numerous occasion or my work toward the good of the Goa'uld against the replicators. But I don't need to defend my record to you.
And Todd was not just a "great player in the beginning." He was a player that, without alliances in a far more unforgiving game, held the #1 spot unaided forever. Todd was an amazing player, who did what he did alone. This is why I find there to be no additional names required. Anybody that thinks they should be remembered for holding 1 for awhile need only look to Todd, who far outdid them.
Anybody that thinks they need to be remembered for founding an alliance, need only look to ETL, who far outdid them. And most importantly, anybody that thinks they need to be remembered for being a good Goa'uld and an all around jerk, need only look to me, for I far outdid them.

It would take minor convincing for me to add Nuto vixen, Wolf359, and RahL as well, but other than them I'm not aware of anybody approaching the standard of greatness I set with those names. To me it is eternally amusing how many names that have been listed are merely here for at one time or another being associated with, or worse, merely copying one of the names above. I mean - look at REK's list. That's a bad joke is what it is. You figure if you throw down a bunch of veterans, that it's the same thing as being legendary? But then maybe it's not so surprising coming from him, who is the epitome of the very do-nothing veterans that I'm here to denounce.
Being a legend does not mean you are loud and a constant presence on these forums like so many of you seem to believe. How many of you even know who Silent Todd was? He posted on these forums maybe twice, one of which was his leaving post. Yet he's better than practically every one of these names I've seen in this thread. My legendary status was not even in part earned by my message board posts, nor should it be. To be a legend you need to DO SOMETHING... something unique, and amazing.
Is it holding no allegiances and stealing millions of troops from a good friend, as I did? Is it founding an alliance whose greatness transcends years of the game? Perhaps it's being the first to abuse PPT? Or maybe it's just flat out having the courage and ability to do whatever you want, like JUAN. Whatever it is - merely being in the area when these things happen, simply copying them later on, or being a loud and vocal board member does not constitute you being on par with these names. Maybe you'll be remembered, but in my eyes, you shouldn't be.
These people are the only people that I respect on the same level as myself in terms of game accomplishment. These people shaped and set the standards of the game you all play today, both in ways you're aware of and in ways you'll never know. And who knows? Perhaps they still shape the game behind the curtain. I wouldn't put it past any of them.

Not really. Every player has his own people who he considers legend in the game. The topic was about legends in players eyes not legends in ESKER's eyes. I have heard from ESKER in the past and yes he is a legend but i am sure there are players around who never heard of ESKER. SO basicly what im trying to say is we all are legends in our lwn way

Well...thats a pretty circular argument there isnt it.
On the one hand you are saying everyone is entitled to their own opinion and different people are lengends in the eyes of others, yet on the other hand your saying Esker is wrong to express such a thing? At the same time to, but mentioning people by name, you are saying that you think they are legends and the people who you did not put on the list (that may be on other peoples list's) are not legends. The only difference is, Esker said that outright, whilst everyone likes to maintain they are nice, by NOT putting it quite so clear.
hmmm..... *pretends to weigh things up whilst pulling an eccentric looking thought face*
We do have a bit of a pickle there....DONT we...
*strolls off...*

Where did i say ESKER is wrong to express such a thing? He has his oppinion of legends he has mine. Please point me to the fact where i said he has no right to express his oppinion cause your confusing the shizzle out of me with your better english wording then me

He roleplays Apophis perfectly..
Afterall Apophis was greatest System Lord ever..Anubis being a daimon, it's a different story.
So that explains why his posts are like that!
Hmmm what the hell I am talking about...not was best SL, is best SL!
What we see in 2nd SG1 tv-movie..afterall, Baal is killed in past at the end, and since Baal killed Apophis in alternate future, and then got killed in past by reformed SG1...
