yes, we've made the judgement call to have it stargate themed, and we made sure to have list reviewed by the other admins first... now we're slowly improving that list, simply because we actually care about the opinions of the users...

if I had the permissions.. i'd do the work..as I am sure a lot of people would. The list doesn't have to be infinitely long.. that, as you're currently taking this off your own back, is entirely down to you.. you're creating your own workload when no one has publically asked you to do so.. so please... don't hide behind that one.

Well if in general people like the new titles... and I am wrong.. why don't you truly let the public decide gather all the current list's and put them up in an opinion poll. If you truly care about the users.. then you'll let them have ultimate input by doing that...

of those we've asked so far (randomly picked), we've yet to get any complaints about the list... one gave constructive criticism, which we have taken into consideration, but no complaints...

Zera that list is in descending order in terms of post count

there's a few holes in it... but otherwise its correctly descending... (took a moment to check, since our list is ascending)

Well I have asked 102 people so far and none of them have had anything nice to say about the titles. I reckon a poll in a topic in SGW general is the best way to decide. You can even pick the list's of titles going up for voting so long as you do it fairly and not just to your specifications.

At the moment the only part of the community making a fuss is you semper....

I don't have to say anything.. I have a personal title.. so this is neither here nor there to me..I am actually doing people a favour for once.

the most complaints were to the original list, which we fully agree was extremely flawed... and we've replaced most of that...

they are not meant to be a hierarchy... thats the whole point...

a user with 10000 posts is no better than one with 1257 posts....

i will run my ignorant mouth of anytime i want. Lol . And my ignorant mouth is saying if the titles were really an issue then laziness would not be a factor

WTH? The forum ranks are here to promote activity on the forums by rewarding quantity of posts... It's not a measure of quality.
