There's a player in this game called High Empty. High Empty had a remarkable talent for 'playing' the markets. He'd buy things when they were cheap, and then he'd sell them when they were expensive. He'd stockpile huge amounts of resources to stagnate the market, and then offload them at a considerable profit. He was able to get you whatever you wanted at almost any price. His fiscal wizardly enabled him to amass a considerable amount of cash, a large amount of which he pumped back into his game (he had one of the top three ascended accounts, and the third or fourth largest main account). Hell, he even made enough cash to buy plane tickets and attend a SGW booze up in Liverpool.
Cash spending is a part of this game. It's ALWAYS going to be a part of this game, whether you like it or not. Whiny little threads like this one, which come up every few months or so, aren't going to change anything. Even if you don't have a wheelbarrow full of cash to throw into this game, you can still exploit the markets and play at amateur economics if you're skilled enough. The exceptional players of SGW are those who are pragmatic enough and clever enough to use any situation to their advantage. High Empty was one such player. To anybody whining about spending: you're not.

HE I don't believe went around massing random people or talking about how amazing he was in the game. He had a lot of class.

I did mine back when you were running out of TAF when DDE went to war with them years ago.
And later of course.
If you're expecting me to be able to go through and mass everyone like I used to be able to don't hold your breath. My MS can't hang like it used to.

I have spent some money and I don't care to be a $player$
I probably spent around 100-120$ on naq from ingame black market. Don't care rates are bad, I'm here to supply the game if I want to buy ressources, not players!

OK why are we complaining at $p£nd€r$ why not have a go at those who are $£lling they are the ones devaluating the game theres a black market and thats the ONLY market that helps keep the game alive
JT i assume you buy AT's from the black market (i think it was you who said that) thats good 'cos it goes to helping the game stay alive
buying from another player who $ells below the black market rate devaluates the game
but where ever you go their will be people wanting to buy and people will sell
