I don't know what it is, but refs have been bad in NBA and MLB too. It's like all of them unanimously decided to start being as bad as everyone accused them of being.

"Oh, you think this is bad. Wait until I do this!"

Yeah, okay, not likely. :smt009

They need to pull a "The Longest Yard" play with the ref's :smt047
Shoot a few pucks at their lower regions until they decide to make good calls

I think they wear cups aswell...

A cup won't do much good with 80+mph shots coming at you

It'll do more than without one on...

In my opinion, bruises are better than jelly. Let them have the cups; they will still take a beating.

Have you played a sport that required a cup?
They 'protect' a fair bit, but the pinch from a softer hit (60mph baseball) is almost unbearable,

I played hockey for almost 18 years, but i had a hard time tracking down a "cup" since they are all in Montreal. :-D

I've given up at watching Hockey.

The NHL obviously doesn't want the Canucks to win. I understand some penalties, but holy mother **Filtered** hell. Some of these calls are absolutely terrible. Like..wow.

I'm done watching Hockey. I cannot stand to see my team's goalie be sat upon, and we end up getting a penalty.

Like when the Blackhawks got a goal by shoving the goalie in the net? Genius!

Indeed. It's ruled no-goal by the NHL after the game. Get real.

I'm sick to my stomach with this **Filtered**. Not worth my time anymore. I love my team, but I cannot stand to sit and watch them lose for playing hard to the whistle.

Didn't hear about that. Apparently they don't want a Canadian team in the Finals, because that makes sense. It's not like Canada cares about hockey or anything like that. They definately don't care about it as much as San Jose. ](*,)

That play reminds me of the Raiders/Patriots tuck rule game. Both playoff games, both blatantly wrong calls.

The NHL head guy once said that he would prefer an American hockey team in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals because it would bring better business to the dying Hockey Market in the US.

I am starting to believe it after what I have been seeing..

That is actually pretty believable. I've been saying for years that the refs push games a certain way if they can. It would make complete sense if they did so now with the support of the NHL management. I just never thought they would be so blatant about it. My competitive nature has it so that I hate watching sports from home; it feels weird to be screaming at the refs and then have it cut to commercial while I'm still fuming. I've tried to give it up, but I keep coming back to it every season... It's a hopeless cycle.

Agreed. Even if I say I have quit watching Hockey, I won't. I will watch every game. I will just care less .. hopefully.

I cannot sit there, hoping for us to finally get to the Stanley Cup Finals again when we have to play two teams every night..
