This suggestion came because the bank update allowed for sniper playing style by training only covert levels and attack, but this thread derailed in such a way, that all of you people turned against those who are still ascending and who save their UU as attack soldiers.
Either
kill ALL the units in attack (mercs, normals and supers), either don't kill them at all, because if I would be a sniper and trust me that I will be after I finish ascending, I won't need attack soldiers and I will train everything as supers and then you will complain again.

I'm not a big fan of this update, but I would say bare minimum make sure you can't kill supers until the defense is at 0.

by training supers none is hiding units so far only normal strikers can be considered as hiding and then lifers can hit them.
this tactic will be mostly used in wars , those not at ware wont hunted as none is gona give up his/her lifers when its known that they can be used in a war.

Yeah, but what about those ascending while at war? They already get screwed over and are practically useless due to covert levels now they lose 10% of their trainable UU too...

Not really, those ascending have options....if they keep the units has att then they are obviously not using them for income, so why not broker away to a friend? it's what I did

It still costs them the 1% brokering back and forth, also the person they broker too has to store them somehow...
Also not having the UU on their account limits their play even more.
You can't really compare people ascending now to you or I when we ascended. Many updates since then have made it much harder to compete while ascending (increase in covert/sab power, doubling of att & def, planet nerfing, etc.)

my eyes are like faucets .... this is stupidest thing ive ever heard of .... you already get screwed if you sell off attack weps ..... now you want to be able to kill attack units .... they are attack units they should not be killed unless they are attacking....so the only safe units will be miners ?
and since the powers that complain the most will get this done ... it should be like 10 to 1 if you choose to kill off supers you should pay a hefty price for it

I love the way you all fail to see the fact that I can have a 1Q covert in seconds with no losses except for training costs.
Do whatever I want to do...and then untrain them and log off....with no penalty

Not everyone has covert/anti lvl 39.
*I agree with killing the attack, but not discrepantly, inflict damage to all the attack units, or inflict none.
*Defense should be zeroed before this attack can be used.

def isnt 0-ed when lifers hits acers
the issue is pretty simple
one hides units in strike which dont have a natural enemy , if admin changes none will hide units.
ascenders can risk units in stirke or ac , prob there wont be many lifer units or they can have more lifers to be used as income and also for wars.

And if I come pillage your base while you have no defenders, and you're not currently attacking someone, then surely it's safe to say your attackers are at home....so you're saying they should carry on being protected by some mystical forcefield?
@DR it's actually a damn sight easier to ascended now, you can get G'N'R without a defence!! how freaking easy is that? yes you get stepped on by people with higher covert, but that's the risks you take...you save naq by not building a large covert level, but risk getting killed for not doing so.
Now I can just sit with 0 def......a small strike and MS, train everything I have into covert when I'm on PPT, then back to attack units when I'm not....and there is precisely nothing that can be done to stop me.
a 1 tril attack, 0 def, 100tril covert (when on PPT), and a 600bil MS will get you easily into G'N'R, so all I ever have at risk is a 600bil MS and 1 tril strike

Why only the ascenders should risk units?
This update is not about hiding units or about ascenders it is about the fact that
with the bank upgrade,
the players don't need income units for the bank and because the defense in the game is pretty much obsolete for those who live inside the game, sit in front of the computer and play all day, they will build huge attacks and coverts,
have massive banks to store naq and farm/mass everyone at will without risking anything.
What admin is trying, is to determine the players to keep the income, poorly I say but that is his choice, in a similar manner to scratching your left year with your right hand over the head. But if he is willing to do it like this, why shouldn't someone be able to kill all the attack including supers??? Because that is where the problem is because of this the bank update and only k
illing the entire attack will stop the onliners doing what I have described.
I can already give you plenty of examples, players who have 30m units, producing almost no income, are fully ascended, have huge covert levels, have almost all the units in attack supers, can be covert sabbed and who can farm everyone with 2 mil spies while in the same time being able to mass the biggest defenses in the game by simply buying more UU and raising the attack. Who deals with those players if their attack is untouchable?

No, we understand what you are saying (complex as it is...). What you seem to fail to realise is this game isn't just UnKnowns with high covert levels.
I actually agree with the update in principal, I just think the detrimental affect it would have on growing accounts out-weighs the 'good' it would bring to the game.
Unless it would only work on people with say, C36+? That way ascenders could still store their UU in attack but people with established accounts couldn't just train their spies as attack units when offline without fear.
@Rene - I know it's reduculously easy to get in to G&R these days but also A LOT harder to compete with fully ascended accounts than it was a couple years ago.
