Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
ok, manually calculating i get 2,179,307.0778 should have been killed on your side, and the 2,114,802.292 of the defenders should have died, pretty much what it says. That was from the old backup of ascended as well, i reckon it's because of your war setting, it wont affect the defender unless the defender has you set to war as well. You would have only had about 1,634,480 casualties otherwise
, for simple calculations it's about x 1.333 for one sided war (just for the attacker) and x 2 for both parties if they both have a war setting.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
So by setting a 1-way war, (and giving the defender the chance for 2x losses in return) I will lose the same as them? That doesn't seem right?
So I am sending 300mil fewer supers, getting 1/6 of my strike from my command star, succeeding in the hit, and taking the same losses? This is how things are supposed to work?
Also let's not forget to account for levels
My assault level: 1672
Defender defense level: 1407

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
apparently so.
the defender and you, will have the ability to do 2x kill/losses, when both of you set war.
I guess it's the downside to taking more DMU from the person, either way you have the ability to remove 600k+ of those losses from you, by standard conditions it seems fine.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
Someone sending 1.5billion fewer planets deserves more losses when there are quintillions of DMU difference between levels? Really?
SoL I don't think this seems appropriate. And I know that others also agree. Can this please be looked into? Because it has not always been this way

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
Ask admin to look into it if you really that worried
.
Actually, it's better than what it was considering i slightly increased how many units of the defender gets killed some time back.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
See here is what I am not understanding.
I set war to mass someone, my levels are far superior to theirs.
So I am sending 300mil fewer supers per hit, a total of 1.5billion planets, because of the difference in levels. My command star is providing almost 12.5% of my strike. So I am sending even fewer units than just account for the ENORMOUS difference in levels. We are talking almost 300 levels here. That is a lot.
Ok so now this person, who has these benefits, should suffer the same losses as someone who instead of buying levels for their physical stats, just builds a huge ToC, and they aren't worth massing despite the amount of DMU spent creating the difference in levels?
This does not seem appropriate and I have seen others say they would expect SAME losses if the levels were the same. Now all of these huge differences, and losses are the same? If none of this is accurate please help me to understand

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
i understand where you are coming from, but talking about it and hinting for a change in a thread called arena related bugs go here, is not a good start
What I'm more inquisitive about is you deciding (after all the time you spent farming, if you farmed to get where you are, which im quite sure you would have at least done some) that something is wrong with it, and other people as well, after what? 5 or so years.
Who's to say they can't kill what they have done anyway? No doubt there are a few examples in history of forces being pulled down to size by terribly equipped opponents.
Also may i suggest to increase your attack a bit anyway, it will create more of a difference in what is killed

I an insulted that you would imply that I buy DMU. I did once, from Munchy oddly enough long before my TA days, and before the server war
When we warred OE at the beginning of the year I took down many of the 50-80Q defenses. It wasn't as expensive as farming has been. So yes things are different now. The real question is what, and why.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
Yeah I'm getting the same kill ratios that hokie has been... .0025 to .0038 with a war setting...I don't recall that being the case before either at least in the massing runs I've done over the years.
I've also noticed an interesting trend with the ratios with respect to destroy attacks. But that's not something I'll discuss on a public server.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
destroy attack kill amounts were changed, it was in the updates. Although that happen quite awhile ago.
Calculations for other attacks are the same though (with a slight increase to the oppositions deaths, although that has very little relation to what you are inferring ), you can ask admin to check the live file if you wish to see if it has the same calculations as the one on the dev, but since he has uploaded it yesterday or the day before, i'm pretty damn sure it will be the same.
Then again, if you plan to mass someone you could always take the war setting off temporarily, so you can get what you think is the right amount.

You say to check the dev log file? This change has come about since the dev server became the main server

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
tell him to check the backup then
, i suggested to check it against the dev because admin may have changed something by accident if he was in the live file for some reason.
Make a few broader range hits, i.e make your attack bigger and attack him again, set him to neutral etc. If you still don't like the difference in kills still then make a suggestion, but it's by no means a bug.

Re: Arena related bugs go HERE
Good thing I have already done this. BMMJ and i tested things before the tourney. Around the last time we found a small glitch in the attack system that caused me billions of planet losses
The whole 1-way war thing was never even mentioned then btw. And this is new to me as I have never seen anything mentioned about 1-way war settings aside from farming
In 5+ years as you say.
Feb 15, 19:54 **** Attack 3,640,245,537,930 Dark Matter Units taken 15 557,394 980,173 13,022,141,644,800,000 10,636,624,881,792,000 details
A scan of the galaxies and universes reveal that hokiehomeboy utilized:
60,000,000 Elite Interlinked Hunter and No Hunter worlds.
**** resisted the aggressors with:
182,114,030 Superior Sacraficial Defending and No Sacraficial Defending worlds.
hokiehomeboy's Beamer Ball infuses 6,51*,070,822,400,000 additional attack power to the fleets that follow!
Feb 15, 20:24 **** Attack 367,103,247,286 Dark Matter Units taken 15 2,269,458 1,684,826 65,112,520,357,900,000 10,604,069,504,870,400 details

181,556,636 Superior Sacraficial Defending and No Sacraficial Defending worlds.
hokiehomeboy's Beamer Ball infuses 8,979,508,812,000,000 additional attack power to the fleets that follow!
Ok so let's look at these attacks. This was a 1671 assault level (I don't think I was 1672 then but I might have been) against a defense level 471 levels lower. It took me 6x his strike, to cause 584k more super losses... only a difference of 2.9mil total planets.
Look at the difference in levels, and what it takes to cause barely more damage than you suffer yourself. Yes I think this is a bug
