yeah i am going to whine, i dropped 400 ranks in covert and 200 total ranks. it sucks

If that's true then how did my covert go down about 600 ranks in a few turns?

Because the whole damned process takes a few turns to complete, and as Forum said, it hadn't affected the vacationing people. There you go, two factors.
