Well ive read this entire thread and i cant remember if this has been mentioned because i know you guys have said hat Weapons can be fitted and crew boarded inside but i also think that there should be Gliders that can sit in a hanger on the Mothership. Also the idea of replicators stealing ship is excellent since Reps are Good spy people so Stealing ships only makes sense. ummmmmmmm....and i actually prefer the cost to be around 6-10 Mill Naquada..i dont want Motherships to be an easy thing.

they could all hav different attack power, the tauri would have bout half but if their ships r half the price they could still be equal, and it could be made so it takes a day or 2 to build a ship and u can only build one at once so the top players wouldn't have all the most powerful ships in like 5secs

For the asgrad biggest mothership name it The Valhala sounds better instead of super MotherShip

i was just thinking that having all these classes of ships is pointless since everyone will just buy the big ones when they can just like people do now with the attack and defence weapons. so really all forum would need to do is add one extra little click for motherships or he could just rename the top weapons i know it won't be as cool but its what everyone does now buy only the biggest one. so unless there is gonna be a limit to the big ships then there is no reason to have all the other ships but in since it would just take longer to implent in to the game.
my idea is this
* this is using the goauld ships since they are the easiest and have more diversit everyone else would be similar is someway
50 death gliders then u can buy up to 10 alkesh bombers
after u have 10 alkesh then u can buy one mothership
after u have 20 motherships then u can buy a supermothership
with a limit of one supermothership i think it should be this way since that how it is in real life you wouldn't just have 100 supermotherships by themselves.
also prices would be something like this
death gliders 50,000
alkesh 250,000
mothership 1,500,000
supermothership 10,000,000
i think that they ships should be expensive since they would be in real life and to create a huge fleet takes a lot of time.

also to buy up to the point where u have a supermothership would cost about 140 million naq. so its not like its that hard to do so maybe make it to where u need more alkesh per mothership or more motherships to get a supermothership.

i think that there should be an equvilant defence for the ships since i assume that they would be more powerful than the current ones
for defence i think that you should be able to purchase a satellite laser system like what Dr. Jackson thought of in the series. something that would be able to destroy motherships from far distances, this would then allow there to be an apporiate defence for the ships. i would suggest that each satellite would cost about 350,000 is they would need to be used in a system to be effective.

OK, balance, then.
How about (Goa'uld vs Tau'ri, adjust for other races) damage modifiers; that is, one whip can do better against others (Forum can work on the implimentation):
DG vs F-302 = DM of 1
DG vs BC-303 = DM of 1.1
BC-303 vs DG = DM of 0.9
F-302 vs Ha'tak = DM of 1.1
Ha'tak vs F-302 = DM of 0.9
All ships vs Al'kesh = DM of 1, 1.1, or 0.9 depending on size in relation
Non-Al'kesh vs Ground Troops = DM of 0.9
Al'kesh vs Ground Troops = 1.1
and such should give you an idea.

i was just thinking that it would be like it is in the game now just with higher attacks for each and maybe and extra defence too however my main idea was the way you have to buy all of them and have a truely diverse fleet like u would have in real life

Well, i was just wondering about it because 10 million is a lot, maybe not to top 25 players, but the top players will be able to purchase these motherships and when rank 500 people try to use them, they will end up using a week's savings or so. (this is not true of me, but for many players)

thats the idea is that they are expensive because in the series not everyone had motherships and supermotherships. thats why i proposed a defence that is cheaper and more effective against ships. that way lower player wouldn't always get creamed because they don't have ships. i would also like to know how the ships themselves would work i said ealier in this thread about making them attack and defence i still think that is a good idea just wanted to implent something that would be cheaper for defence. now i ramblen so ill stop

just got to thinking about equivalent defences
heat sinking missles---->equivalent to death gliders
sam site array --------> equivalent to alkesh bomber
satellite array --------->equivalent to mothership
system that makes suns blow up --------> equivalent to supermothership
prices would be the same as well as the numbers u need for each from my post above. any thoughts on this?

i didn't know if that was the way we were going i was just giving another suggestion to how the defence could change when the ships are put in.
