ty admins for fixing game

everything was down for everyone as server **Filtered** up, and whats the bad thing that now game are on same server as forum and if it goes down noone can come here to post about it

This is why we have the Facebook and Twitter communication channels, as advertised on the index. Worthwhile bookmarks, in case of emergency.

This 'situation' is not new, though. Not sure if that is what you were implying, but the game and forums have -to my knowledge- shared their server for the duration of the game's existence. Communication-wise, a bottleneck.

too bad i dont use neither of those and well i am sure i remember that like 5 years or maybe even more ago the forums were run on different server and once game would die, forums would still work not sure but that might have been before that copyright infringement related with stargate name or whatever it was

Database issues with Main persisting.

Yes, we are still experiencing stability issues. The situation should normalise gradually.

then why would you have a report here thread if you couldn't? I do remember when you could still post on here when a game server was down. :/

Twitter / FB channels operate on a European timezone. Reports filed hours after midnight will take ~10-12 hours to be seen, never mind handled.

There is a difference between a game (Main / Asc / Q / etc) and the whole server being down.


In that respect, when we moved to the new IP in ~2011, forum and game are tied by the physical server they are hosted on. This is why we have the FB/Twitter channels (responses to which are of course contingent on the waking/working/studying schedule of staff).
