Does anyone actually know how long a snakey can survive?
Surely million years is a bit of a stretch.
I recall from the show they mentioned some goauld as living hundreds of years, but I don't know about thousands, and I certainly never heard of millions. I mean, if it were possible, I'm sure they're level of technology would be a little more advanced.
Doesn't quite make sense.
But I guess the fact that snakey's used to use Unas, is in itself a sheer reflection of how daft they all are

Thousands of years at least. The Goa'uld in SG1 are supposed to be the old pagan earth gods.
Interesting how worms can survive so long... when they change hosts and use the sarcophagus.
I still have to figure out how they got sarcophagus technology. Someone from my side might have messed up sometime ago.

I'm going to take a wild guess, just out of the blue, and say they probably, most definitly stole it.
You know how they are. Can't keep their hands to themselves. Sort of people you need to watch when shaking hands with, in case they steal one of your fingers.
I'm sure it was an Ancient thing. Those guys made all sorts of cool gadgets for a later date.

ermmm... asgard can fight brain attacks. not so sure that a snakey in an asgard body will succeed in taking over.
but yeah, a snake infested asgard clone is a terrifying thought.
