lol. I don't need to exagerate the Elledan affair. Multiple threads that have lasted years and scores of people still hurt. There is no need, each thread, each incarcation and each responce is enough for me.

Now since the she didn't die is your only proper responce that ignores all what i said, how about we go through some questions:

1. Did Elledan pretend she was dying for a long duration of time? Condition slowly fading? The whole community pouring their hearts out? Offering to go to see her at the hospital etc with a lenghy thread?

2. Did Elledan use another forum account 'Emma' to lure the community into the twisted tale? To keep it going and to keep people strung along every moment of the way? Were people who called her out on it attacked at first viciously by the mob fevor she generated, that how dare people question this dying girl? By people such as yourself?

3. Are Elledan/Emma/Jadiza/Aurial all the same person who lied about their origins until caught out as a way to avoid all misdeeds of the previous incarnations and to trick the community until called out?

4. After the Elledan facade was left behind, Did Elledan now hidden as Emma Attack a Bugged account for resources?

5. Did Emma return the naq only after the banhammering happened?

6. Did Jadiza Multi?

7. Did Aurial purposely avoid saying about her past until she had secured her modship? Choosing to only reveal it after she had recieved it and rumours were floating around? A position of trust taken by a person capable of the above?

8. Are you serious with this:

fanboy wrote:AND NO I said permaban him I won't forgive this dude there's no way for this.

Given the above, you should be looking in your own camp for the banhammerage. You forgave and defend Elledan blindly but this one person whose done one thing will never be forgiven and should be perma banned?

You cannot judge a tree in one season. It is different in Summer/Autumn/Winer/Spring, each will generate a different perspective, so to with a person have their ups and downs, moments of shame and glory. Elledan, Emma, Jaz, Aurial all followed the one path, each maanged to do something wrong and time and time again proved their manipulative nature. This Merrick while wrong, has only done this once

Pops, keep your opinions to yourself, this is neither the time nor the place to air your grievances.

the fact of the matter here is we have no idea what has happened save that a Well respected member of the community seems to be missing in some way or another.

until such time as we know what happened keep your opinions to yourself and stop making rash generalizations and comparisons.

you say you don't want to come on the forums anymore....then don't.
I'm sure a lot of us would be a lot happier without your presence

and yes I know you'll come here and post your innocence....please. don't bother

For your info I wasn't the one introducing this so don't blame me for this please. See who started mentionning this, it wasn't me.
Yes I bothered because it wasn't me and I stand for what is right, is it wrong to be this way?
And well next year I'll not vote for your alliance as alliance of the year again if I'm that much appreciated by you lot... ;)

For respect for the person whose topic it's about and I dont want to bring other things here, my reply to Balor's post has been done in a pm to him.

How did we end up on this subject again? Spam much..
Was the problem someone insulting someone who died?

Jim; I would appreciate it if you did not do that defending thing at the expense of your own credibility. Thanks. Everyone can have their own opinion, you're not the person to change them. Besides, you're not helping yourself or me.. :)

If necessary:
- I claimed to have suffered severe injury; I am quite alive. Heavy investigating was done to ascertain said claims. (anyone who remembers the calls and visiting the hospital knows what I speak of)
- Detox claimed to have died; seems to be as alive as anyone. No investigation was done and death was accepted with much regrets (and some misplaced relief).
- Larry was reported to have died; bit of a cinch here, one the one hand, I hope it isn't a sick joke by a hater, on the other hand, that would mean he's still alive, which would be good. Is any investigating going on?
Conclusion:
In some cases, people are easily convinced (a simple message of someone's death without much other information seems to be particularly convincing), but when any doubts arise, people are quite willing to investigate. In other words, nothing is wrong with the common sense of the community.. reminding them to situations where that same common sense took too long to kick in is hardly productive.

a good many of us are friends of Larry, and none of us like being made the fool, his "cousin" has posted on his behalf in the past so nothing was thought of this.

but let me assure you, that we will find out what's going on here one way or another

so please, let's keep this topic on the subject at hand

Indeed. let us stay on topic I have I have not locked this topic yet because we are all curious on whats going on. The other mods will not be modding this topic as we all agreed that one mod should focus on this to know whats going on. I will stay neutral on this whole matter and will check in here every day. No matter what outcome may be people stick to the forum rules, i am saying this before hand cause we saw situations like this before and i dont want this to turn in another "wich-hunt"

after checking our forum out(specifically his IP's) i have turned up the same results as bob did on the TM forum.
IP's of major importance are
-: His regestration IP back in july 07 (we moved to new forum) was :-195.93.21.135
when he 1st made reference to going to iraq Dec 30th
IP:- 195.93.21.67

he made a few posts that appeared to of been made from Iraq, however after checking the IP's used
(IP: 195.93.21.99)date feb 13th :- in post he makes reference to his 1st wounds sustained that day.
feb 14th :- 195.93.21.99
feb 17th :- 195.93.21.99

one interesting thing to note, a post was made on our forum by "Aaron", however the IP was different from all others previously used.
IP :- 81.149.96.200
which is London
post was informing us of how wounded dude was

Although this guy need to come back 4 times, lie, cheat, abuse a bug and trick people to get into positions of power on top of this to catch up.

Then a few months down the track you get accused for bringing up past history and essentially bullied if you don't forgive/accept someone whose done something horrible to you & the community.

*waits a couple months for a campaign to treat Merrick as an honourable community member despite this whole thing*

*sighs*

Sure...here we talk about someone who died in Irak...and a dude who comes to insult him and make look muslim bad...very similar indeed

Seriously that's sometimes SUCH post that makes me want to not those visit forums anymore, people who always compare things that are NOT comparable, because why such posts and not the banned people's ones? Because these posts come from people who are from this community and not from nowhere who come just to flame and be banned. That's why it annoys me more than some guy who comes from nowhere posting. On one hand we have cheaters who brag they own the game, on other hand some noobs who make terrible comments and dont give a crap about it...What's next? Open KKK recruitement bot registering? Someone who happend to kill othe sgw player IN REAL LIFE because he massed him or stole his planet?
AND NO I said permaban him I won't forgive this dude there's no way for this.

Yes I did mistakes in mytyping, but because I've enough of hearing always same stuff added to new kind of horrible people who appear more and more. This forum has never been so down than it's been in 2008. And it's not getting better, nomatter what will try mods to make the place better, always new affairs coming up.

I don't see why I bother caring anymore, some poeple will never change their mind and always think the same.

That's kind of funny Jim because you're the one who'll fight to the death to protect your crush on Jadzia even though SHE deceived the entire community into thinking she (commit suicide I think?)/was dead.
Then you say its posts like the ones you quoted that make yo uwant to leave SGW? Errr...

Must we bring this up yet again.. *sigh* such spam.
I asked Jim to stop defending me publically. I think your point is clear? Your opinions are noted, so are those of others who disagree. Subject invalidated.

Would you mind actually getting back on topic of the dead guy in Iraq, and whether or not it's a sick joke being played by god-knows-who?

((If you *do* want to spam regarding that incident, please get your facts straight, okay? By now you (plural) have made up more different stories than I ever could, which says something about 'memory', perhaps? Filling the holes in your memory with even more grandiose fantasies.. Maybe write a book about it, to express your creativity?
Suicide? Puh-leeze.. mortal sin is something I would avoid even in a delirious state. "Years of psychological harm wreaked upon hapless community members.." paraphrasing someone else; melodramatics must be your forte.
Complaining about Jim defending is hypocritical, seeing how it is brought up by others who deem the time right to share their - all too well known - opinions once again.. can you blame Jim for doing the same repetitive thing others do? It's like throwing a bone and yanking the dog's chain for running after it.
Things weren't good. People have their opinions. Repeatedly expressing them won't change them one bit. Although, I have to say, some of the stories you're coming up with are getting remotely interesting. As I said.. write a book.
))

The topic went offtopic ever since this fake account posted a lot of stuff. Then it went on about false deads in the forums. So therefor the topic has changed subject but mystakes posts is not off topic ;) Smooshable told me i am the only mod allowed to mod this topic as we discussed how far we let it go. Closing this topic will revolt in users making several topics to complain/ask/rant therfor its best to keep it in one wich is easier to mod and keep track off.
