The best defender is scotland (cuellar) languished on Villas bench and looked about half the player he did in that UEFA cup run in the premiership last year
barry Ferguson prior to his move to blackburn was one of the top midfielders in scotland, and flopped in a big way in the Premiership.
Craig Gordon is the only lad recently who made the move and made a career out of it, and even he spent long periods last year as 2nd choice.
Put an SPL all stars Vs EPL allstars and on paper the Gap would be massive.
You could even exclude the Top 3 last year (United/Pool/Chelsea) and the squad would still be stronger than the SPL's.

i agree with you coyle the spl is a 2 horse race which isnt good but we have had sold players to barca who have been great there.
and for europian football well we get to play teams like motherwell all year where there is no challegen in the games where the premiership and spanish football have alot more teams going for the leauge tittle

To be fair to old Barry, it was injury that prevented him having proper quality spells of football during his time with us. Remember that he captained the side too. Blackburn fans are a nightmare at times, I know being one. There always has to be a scapegoat when things are not going right. At the moment it is either Keith Andrews or MGP. Both again, are pretty stupid choices as they give 100 percent commitment to the cause.
Ferguson was a decent player, he just didn't get the breaks.
