Balcony bar in picadily isn't a bad idea for everyone on the trains to meet.
Odder bar is pretty close to the station, plays a real eclectic mix of music from indie, to Dubstep, tp hip hop. And during the day it's at a level everyone can still chat and have a beer. Does bacon butties too
Courtyard is a bit of a distance away from picadily, but it has 2 pool tables and flat screens with all sorts of football on and cheap beer. And a bouncer with the fastest Nice guy to MONSTAH gear change in the world when it comes to people acting up.
Font bar always has a good atmosphere, gets busy and if anyones inclined does good price cocktails. The amstel on tap does it for me.
As for clubs, 42's is a pretty grubby little basement club but good price drinks, and the music is a decent mix of indie/hip hop the students love it. 5th avenue is similar, and has a pub right next to it called the garrat that has a top atmosphere but gets rammed.
factory has a real mix, 3 rooms, indie rock & roll, funk/soul/motown, and a techno/house room. I've been but i'll be honest i was smashed, barely remember the place.....same with Venue which i once had a good night in. So im told.
One central has a good saturday night, but probably only i'd be interested with it being dubstep/rnb/hip hop/dnb
