best match of the championship so far but germany failed to live the spanish tonight....some lovely footy though - lol gomez on - lol looks like niall quinn/heskey type tactic

Great goal by Puyol, sadly Spain did it a bit too individually in the end (Pedro, Torres) or else they would have scored twice. Germany was totally not into the match..

and yes i admit it was a fair defete.. some bad total change of strategy and lack of star players on the german part.

Spain was better than Germany... i'm affraid that they will win the WC...

boring! the passing was intricit and accurate - space was created in several moves and chances were set up.....it was good and clasy footy played by one team admitidly but still a good game and the germans looked good when they were countering

Some classy footy and some clinical passing - I think it was a quality match I qant Spain to win

Im now hopinh netherlands shuts down spain. Im getting tired of this **Filtered** 1:0 goals.. THis happened in 2008 too SAME match.

i was rather bored with the match so i just had it on in the background whilst I did other things.

I'm pleased with the outcome. At least this time we get a new World Champion.

Seems the Octopus was correct again.

I seem to recall some people who said, just because Spain lost to Switzerland 1-0, that they sucked and were weak, that they would be thrown out and not reach round of 16, and who laughed at me that Spain was weak & doomed after this match etc. Spain then conceded one goal more only after it, against Chile, in 2-1 victory.
And now, AS I EXPECTED, Spain are in final.

A "I told you so" to these few people comes to mind, given all the criticism towards it...and eventually proven right.

Atleast i'm not immature enough to feel the need to do a "i told you so" comment.

Just because someone got to the final doesn't mean they are the best in the tournament.

It would have been "immature" IF there was NOT such strong believe and affirmation that Spain was weak and would go out quickly not even in round of 16, despite my more "long term" stance about them, it being belittled and ridiculized simply due to a single match lost.
Thus, this "I told you so" is perfectly placed.

It is evident that Germany was PAID to lose, that was NOT Germany on the field today people... No way No how....

Just like same could have been said about Argentina then.
Considering what they did before facing Germany, and during that particular match where they were defeated greatly by 4-0 and completly dominated by Germany.
So let's not bring the paid to lose argument or else a quarter of matches could fall under this accusation due to results not being as expected lol.
