well i aint going to change my ingame name so may as well keep the sig as well lol, i have admin access to AK forum but very rarely visit it anymore and even tho 90% of the friends i chat to on MSN are still AK i dont get involved in AK affairs.

Sovenski and co did make Legion in The Ancient Wars and run it there with a very Red image and theme. On Stargatewars Main however, The Legion Empire Had a poll on a namechange to The Legion that predates the creation of Sovenski's Legion on Stargatewars main. Yes, The members of Legion were members of Legion in another game before that, but thats a very void and flawed argument. There is no single Original Legion.

I've been a member of various Legion alliances for 5 years across different MMORPGs and Browser Based MMORPGs, running a couple of those alliances myself. This is because there are thousands upon thousands of alliances from hundreds of different games associated with the word Legion.

Does that then make our Legion the original because One or more of our members from those games beforehand are now members of a Legion Alliance in Stargatewars? As such, Setting Precadent (sp?) for such a common alliance name is no justification for originality as many people can trace back to knowing of or being in a Legion styled alliance.

Legion is original as its theme was very much unique to this game, taking a lot of imagry and literature from Russian Soviet/Communiust propaganda.

thanks for the G/L wishes. my only goal is to make "Legion" an alliance of friends and no one else, its NOT my goal to poach any players from any alliance or empire/reputation building. as i said, i just want an alliance of friends to have a good time/laugh, call it what you will
