If somethign is done wrong while a person is drunk they should be punished for the wrong doing, not for being drunk.

Well said

Well said

indeed...

do you punish a person for owning a car while drunk, in case he should drive while intoxicated and someone dies?
or do you just punish the one who actually does drive drunk?

as their is no real way to tell if someone is drunk or not while posting. unless they say "im drunk"
how can you punish them?

and i think its no difference than a user being drunk. and half the time you probably could not tell unless they told you
and for nimras. i have known him for awhile...
little surprised he was even able to get on the forum after a few drinks.

All post after this not regarding leaving this war will be removed when i arent drunk and a warning send to all as thats withing the rule since it has been asked both by the maker and by mods so many times for spam to stop.

Sorry but why would you even post as a mod being drunk? That doesn't seem right.

I knew this would bite my ass first mistake i made that day was posting in read thats it. I was just stating that when i was sober i would start cleaning up this topic.

killtacular wrote:seems he gave a warning to Dark Bahamut while being so LOL

and no i did that like 10 hours or more later after i had slept and was sober.

I mearly made the stupid mistake of saying i was drunk and had seen that they wanted me to removed spam and i would do it when i werent drunk so no one could come and say i was a bad mod. I made it in red sadly thats the mistake i made in my drunkeness that day i didnt mod while i was drunk nor did i do anything before i got sober actually.

But out of honesty to tell why i didnt clean it up when the author could c i was online i told him why lol should have done it in a PM heh but i had my wits enough not to mod and tell him i just made the mistake of do it in Mod talk colors and not in a PM.

Posting when drunk as a mod could be okay, if the outcome is no different from normal mod action. Doing crazy things however is unacceptable, but if it happens only once I think its not such a big issue. Repeated accidents will be dealt with of course.

Indeed it is ..... >.>

I beg the differ ....
Would at any point, for whatever reason, a mod, while being intoxicated and it would be known, undertake whatever action as a mod .... should be liable for removal of his position ...

Compare it as 'going to work drunk' ... you'd get fired ...

Don't take me as a none alcoholic .. or anti freak or something ... but letting things like that 'slip' would be a huge mistake .... it sents out the wrong message and opens doorways for other abuses.

No need to, I'm standing by with what I said, I do not think that it makes 'little' difference, I think it makes a 'huge' differences wheter or not a mod is drunk.

If he or she is sober, ... no prob ... (though mistakes can be made ^_^ )

If he or she would be drunk, and it would be known, just as a principle, I would question every action taken, no matter how it was handled.

Brings me back to the "being drunk @ work thing"

if the decision is right then fine if its wrong then its bad

but iv gotta admit out of all the forums iv ever used this is the most serious one there is where people call out for the removal of a mod because they make one bad decision

Well making a mistake and being drunk behind the controls are two very different things for me.

And your second point ..... yeah true ... been using forums since bbs age, and indeed a lot more posts concerning the level of moderation here ...

but still ... where there is smoke..............

Hey .. I only smoke in the kitchen >.>

Indeed a mistake is a mistake.

I would just punish the one being drunk a bit harder.

there is a world of difference between drunk driving and people modding on a forum while drunk...

changes on forum, can be reverted, changed back... persons killed by a drunk driver cant be brought back...

/me concurs that the results of drunk driving differ greatly from drunk moderating .....

But how about being drunk @ work ?

Yeah, but if you're driving down the road, and swerve the wrong way to avoid hitting another car, and hit a pedestrian and kill that pedestrian, while sober. You're generally not held accountable, but if you make the exact same mistake while drunk you are held accountable.

never thought of it that way Jack, You have a good point.
