I miss a few of the 'old gaurd', when you saw them on the forums you got alittle scared.
I mainly miss two players who arn't around much anymore, one has left the game but the other just isnt active that much anymore. Shame really, they made SGW for me.

I miss the Roleplay and when people used their accounts and this game as an excuse to get together and have fun with mates. Instead of seeing it as a personal asset where each attack on you is somehow cutting deep resulting in lashings out and bitterness.
A lot of the things we missed worked back then but would have to have evolved regardless as the players ingame grew in size and in connections. The problem is we took the wrong evolutionary path where time and money and not skill, preperation and tactics get you ahead.

i would gladly suffer a reset and for lifers, planets and raiding to be removed so we could have wars that actually mean something like they used to!
And remove unlimited AT.
What do I miss?
Meaningful wars, gearing up for war, old adversaries such as the3rdlibra, Lord Dougy and THE SAZ. My first ally, opticallove.

Non transferrable turns are part of the solution if not the solution for ATs, maybe?

We all miss friends that have left the game
I also wonder how every attack became so personal, and why 3/4 of players have, Protected by *Insert friend/friend's alliance/alliance name* (is the game so important that you can't protect yourself against a bit bigger player, or is this a trick?)
Speech: Mass and be happy, it's a game, don't get stressed because of it
My opinion at least

They would be if auto-generated AT had been removed from the market, but since they haven't been then non-transferrable AT are no solution at all.
But that's another topic.
I also miss the GA, at least the original vision/version of it before it grew too large.

Planets just made the game harder for the little guys. People who had been playing a while could spend tons of naq to boost the defenses and boost the strength of the planets, distancing themselves from the smaller ones. Even if they lost them in a war, they still had the ability to rebuild them quicker than any little guy could.
Lifers hurt the game because it made a part of the game that was stuck. I mean back when you had UU and you didn't train them to supers, you could transfer them between AC/Covert/Attack/Defense Units... Now if we just got rid of lifers, there would be raiding of a butt load of accounts. So if you do away with lifers/miners, then you have to do away with raiding also!
Finally, unlimited ATs. If you don't want to do away with lifers and raiding, just get rid of the unlimited ATs. You would hurt raiding so badly, but then the prices would continue to soar for the price of 1 AT.
Its kinda hard to organize what to get rid of to make the game more enjoyable.
Also, I wish Esker was still around, atleast he did a lot of Role-Playing...
