meh.

how many people in the chat were large players who have ascended to LG+1 and probably wont ascend further? How many smaller players would go to a chat and suggest something? When I was reasonably new i made a suggestion on an upcoming enhancements thread and was laughed at by the experienced players..... being told "play for a while longer and you wont think that way because you will have learned the game". Now how many people would actually want to go to a chat and make a suggestion after that treatment?

there are other ways to stockpile naq as profitably, but it may mean that people will hve to trade for FSS before ascending (or purchase it).

This update will hurt the 0 stat players - and also make recovering after ascending harder, screwing the smaller players.

Suggestion: return selling def weapons to the previous % and keep strike as they are. This way the 0 stat players will be hurt, and the smaller players wont be hurt as much.

WOOT

Hey now, I wasn't going after the people who don't go to chats(although I do wish more would). I was going after those who did, begged for this update(and in a room of 30 or more it was 90-95% yes), and now sit quietly. Infact when it seemed he was convinced to do it I tried to atleast persuade him to leave unascended weapons the same. Not sure if he did or not.

Sorry Munchy - I misread your post, even when quoting it

and he didn't leave unascended weapons alone..... I got a number of alliance buddies who are screwed by this.

Aside from an admittance to .. heh, never mind that.
It takes for your account to be hacked since before the update, dude.

I would advise everyone, as Munchy did, to come to the chats with admin when they're up. Admin's a very reasonable guy, and the rash things he does hardly blemish that image. Seriously.
Besides, when you go to those meetings, or read the logs, you can actually PREPARE for the updates when/whenever they come eventually. Which is better than being surprised by something you could've seen coming, and then to start crying about it. Seriously.

Remember how you're responsible for a car crash when you aren't watching? Similarly here.. although this hardly qualifies as a car crash.
Adapt, and live with it.

Hey man. :)

I always found positive features in updates but this time there are NONE!
I wasn't on admin chat, I know, I should have been, I know, and BELIEVE ME, if I was there, I would have done ALL I can to make it NEVER HAPPEN! :x

I wanted to ascend again to IAG because this title sounded super cool thanks now I'll stay prophet and so will any player, nomatter his/her asc level, his/her army size (from 100k to 250mil+, all will be screwed there)! :?

Seriously I'd wish to know who were those players who wanted it to be...seriously I FAIL TO SEE who it benefits!!

War excuse that people sell defense before entering battle? LMAO!!! And you think it's the major reason for selling weapons??
HAHAHAHA I LAUGH THERE!
TOTALLY SURE those people are NEW ones, otherwise they'd remember in past when weapons were used as a bank when we were all very small, and yeah there are still people who use it as a bank, time to realize it eh! Not everyone starts at 5mil army size ingame you know (only people who buy accounts start there or above)!

What's horrible update next?
20th ascension makes you loose all your bonuses and ascended account and makes you be an unascended race?
Cap for growing reduced to 100mil and for buying to 50mil? Raid back in ascended? Attack rank modifier in main comeback?
Damn next time I'll be there that amazes me (negatively ofcourse!) what people there ask and approve

apophis, the reason for this was to weaken those accounts that mass an alliance, then sells away everything, rebuilds masses again, sells off...

larger players can easily afford the losses selling weapons will give... those small accounts with nothing except a few soldiers, cannot afford it the same...

From what i have experienced this two years of playing, it's the big alliances that mass smaller alliances, and they dont have to sell off their weapons after that because they know they are untouchables.

So yeah, this update is to curb those few accounts, maybe one or two, but what about the other hundres of players who play it fair and square? If any player has any grudge and want to mass anyone down, he can always do it, regardless whether the resell price is high or low.

Sorry pra3 :( But..

Awesome update.

Forum said this update was upcoming - if you were stocking naq in weapons I don't know why you would risk getting really screwed in the update instead of selling off your weapons while you still could for what a 10% loss or whatever?

We've all got our personal naq banks - why don't ya use em? :D

Then it doesn't matter whether or not this update was implemented.

Were you in favour? If yes, join the club. If no, I am confuzzled. :)

I truley HATE this update it's utter nonsense.
And NO it's not like if I whinned when UP planets got limitated to UP raw as I laughed there, as it was logical to be so...same for planets limits on attack and everything, that was logical.
THIS, is NOT logical.
I always try to find positive things in updates, tried there, unfortunately, the query failed, we cannot find any result for your request...lmao, trying to put it in positive funny way to express how worst it is than anything.

I will propose in dec 2007 an addition for 2008 awards: WORST update of the year. Guess which I would nominate?

But what is currently the big problem with this then!? :?
I'm beginning to think I'm missing the whole problem.

It's the WORST update ever, why don't you see that?

Rank modifier helped small people to defend from "big boys", sort of old school perg, but "big boys" sold def and went in low ranks and continued their attacks, and took advantage to mass top ranks and be untouched (positive and negative outcomes).
Planets look cool, helped alot people to grow and to warn ect thru them, but they were abused in beginning (the immortal attack planets) or were too easily stealable, by now fixed (positive and negative outcomes).
Caps, well they don't help big ones as it stops them but help smallers to catch them (positive and negative outcomes).
Raids, too easy growing for some, very helpful for others to catch up big guns, a disaster for few. (positive and negative outcomes).
Unlimited ATs (by now one of most criticized ones), screws up game and wars, kills tactic and suggest to build all miners in wars, and many other bad things, but it helps for those who really want to take hours in raiding and very fast growing, it help also massing the nox, as nox is very hard to mass. (positive and negative outcomes!)
This one...destroys small and medium players, benefit nothing to big players. Prevents VERY FEW sniper accounts in main...the positive outcome is SMALLER than one for unlimited ATs, that says all!!!
