yes it is a war game but since when did war not have trading countrys trade supplys and even in stargate there has been trading
maybe work out a way so it has to be accepted in a sertain ammount of time and cant be traded anywhere else for a certain ammount of itme
and of course in war situations, resources are NEVER stolen, destroyed, sabotaged, raided, whatever... If you want realism, you already have it. Your argument is pointless

no he did have a point, he was responding to what whiteydude said about this being stargatewars not merchantwars. Anyway that's beside the real point which is that the idea we've been discussing should be implemented.

but that is exactly where you are wrong.
IT SHOULDN'T BE IMPLEMENTED.

and why exactly is that? there have been several suggestions in this thread that would pretty much eliminate the possibility of abuse of the trade system we're discussing. This idea would effectively streamline trade and ultimately make SGW a better game.

How about you can only have one in progress at any one time so that you can't make any others until the last one you made is accepted, this would make it more difficult for people to use this as an alternate bank.

When you want to transfer naq, UU etc to someone it shouldnt have to be instant, the person recieving whatever it is should have to accept the transfer before they actually get it. I bring this up because of the different time zones and the unfortuante condition that affects many people called 'sleep'.
If someone transfers from one time zone to another someone may be asleep and any naq transfered is left open to being stolen. The transfer should be stored somewhere safe on the server and a message sent to the reciever who then has to click a button/send something or whatever to have the transaction completed.
It should stay as instant, to avoid being abused. At the end of the day it is not particularly difficult to organise a time for a transfer to take place now is it!?

Want a safe transfer? Go on PPT. Either that or god's suggestion of having a percentage dedcuetd for a "secure transfer". I personally think 20% is a lot, but 10% seems suitable.

Chicken dude, there is nothing I can do about people using PPT, but if they're inept to abstain from complaining about SS when there is another solution that costs wordly currency, they might as well use it.
All I said was that PPT is put to good use to receive safe payments, not that I encouraged or discouraged it in any other way. People that put words in my mouth that I never said oft regret it in their pathetic embarrassment. It is something that I do NOT tolerate to ANY degree.

Sorry if this is double-posted, but I'd just like to point out that it took me 6 days to set up a transaction with someone in Australia (I live in Canada)...And the transaction had to occur at midnight for me

(I know some of you think this is early but for my sleep-patterns it isn't, trust me.)

maybe rather than a 24 hour stop before being able to make transfers with that person again make a 5 minute maximum for the transfer to be accepted and if not accepted by that time it is refunded that way you have no great change but just enough so that you know the exact timing of the naqs arrival.

Napoleon, I'm Canadian too, my sleep patterns are so messed up, I could easily do a midnight deal

. I'd go to bed at 10, wake up at 11:55, do the deal and go back to bed at 12:31 so that I can bank again.
