Well, if the H-8 is to be China's big new bomber, I would say it can carry most of their types of bombs; laser, GPS(or something like it), dumb, etc...

As for defending itself, its a stealthy flying wing so you can't have guns sticking out the side. It probablly has ECM built-in to it so most likely its like the B-2 in terms of defence.

It's a Bomber, not a Fighter. There has only been one big bomber that has been in a dogfight, a B-17 called 'Old 666' in WW2.

yeah...

but on this train of thought the F-117 comes to mind, its designated a fighter for some odd reason... i reckon it should be re designated the B-117... *laughs*

The F-117 was called that to misguide the soviets in what it really was. Also, when it was designated F-117, the USAF had already restarted the number sequense. It should be called A-11 or B-2; and the B-2, the B-3.
